sounds like fun, I wish we did more advanced shooting than we do, they reserve all the fun stuff for our SRT team..

All of our instructors are on SWAT, so they like to do fun stuff. This is just an open session for us to use our own weapons, but it's fun because we can do whatever the F we want.

Man I wish I had a place around here that I could do something like that at...this shooting at a stationary piece of paper over and over again gets really old. I need some action!

Try skeet and trap shooting if you want something that moves. It is a lot of fun!

Had a couple of guys from another agency invite me to their range tomorrow to pop off some rounds. It's an open range, very few will be there. I'm wondering what I should bring. I was thinking of bringing most of my "cool" guns (AR, Benelli M4, etc). Man, I'm really taking dent out of my ammo stockpile this week. At least .223 ammo's going back down in price. Now 9, 40, and 45 needs to drop.

Ours are too.. but they save all the good stuff for their training..

YAY! We have three openings being posted soon. Firearms Instructor, SWAT, and Use of Force/DT. I'm putting in for Firearms and SWAT. That'd be sweet.

Nice.. eventually I wouldn't mind getting into our range as a collateral duty, we have a good course at Fort Benning they certify our instructors at I wouldn't mind attending.

I was a PMI/BRM instructor and a Range NCO/Safety when I was in the Army. It was a blast. It was the only time when I was never really bothered or annoyed by dealing with idiot soldiers.

I don't think I stand a chance at SWAT, since we have a guy putting in for it that's a human Adonis and runs marathons for fun.
Firearms Instructor is the ONE thing that will keep me happy at my boring suburban department. I'm developing several talking points right now to present when I do the interview for the slot. I really hope I have a chance to do it.

Took my concealed carry class yesterday and heading to the sheriffs office tomorrow. Now for the 2+ month wait.

The trigger is so much easier on the glock compared to my sig, and I find that helpful in controlling my accuracy better since I tend to rush my shots with the sig and it can cause trigger jerk

Walmart finally got some 9mm in stock here.. suprised I got to it before it was all gone

went by the Bass Pro Shop here in Orlando.. checked out the Remington 870, and bought a itp holster for my Glock.. might see a new shotgun in my future, gonna shop around a bit and make sure of the exact one I want first.

I read up on it when buying mine, there is definitely a deference but with the track record of the 870 I don't think you will have any problems. I was shooting those Hornady SST slugs out of mine the other day. Im going to buy one of those knoxx blackhawk stocks now (90% recoil reduction )
