Sent in my FOID card application over the weekend. Should have it in within 30 days unless they decline me. I don't see why they would though.

The new HK with the law enforcement modification (LEM) is pretty sweet....I admit some are really rough especially if its heavy trigger and double action only 15lbs of pull FTW

I got to check these out first hand.

Developed especially for a U.S. government agency, the Law Enforcement Modification (or LEM for short), is a unique trigger mechanism created specifically to improve the trigger performance and reduce the weight of the Double-Action Only (DAO) trigger pull on HK pistols.
With this mechanism, HK pistols can be fired like a standard DAO semi-automatic pistol where every round is fired by simply pulling the trigger fully rearward with the hammer starting at the forward rest position. The design of the proprietary HK LEM system allows the weight of the DAO trigger pull to be reduced to a smooth and constant 6.18 - 8.5 pounds (27.5 - 37.8 N) because the two-part hammer is pre-cocked every time the slide moves rearward. Trigger pull on conventional double action pistols is 12 - 15 pounds.

Glocks and XDs remain top sellers here.

Sigs are really well made guns...to bad they aren't more popular...

So I got into a gun frenzy tonight, trying to do as much reading and learning on firearms as possible- and for some reason I was shocked to see that Mosin Nagant 91/30's were going for between $89-$139 online. LINK.

Do any Fanatics have a Mosin-Nagant- or atleast have some experience with them?

It seems that there's disgusting amounts of information available... so much so that it is overwhelming. IE: http://7.62x54r.net/

I would love a hundred dollar rifle capable of blowing a watermelon to shreds from 450-600 yards out. Although I feel like, when looking to buy a rifle that has this much history, I should have a greater knowledge base before even considering purchasing one.

Apparently there is much to know and check about the "Headspace of a Mosin Nagant", although without the know-how or experience to check it... how would one know if they were getting an accurate/precise firearm or a dangerous/defective dud???

Anyone have experience with these things?
-Chris

If she's in a combat zone, she's a contractor, not military. The hat and the multiple earrings are the giveaway. Add to that the custom rifle parts, and that's not Army or Air Force issue (assumption made off of the brown shirt).
Aside from MPs, women aren't typically given the opportunity to be issued precision DM rifles.
