Biggs your drop is nuts, I love it!!

So I just finished ordering these. Raceland's website has them listed for $240, but then it's $60 for shipping for a total of $300. Instead I used the ebay link to pay $280 and then used bing cashback and mrrebates cashback to get 11% cashback between the two of them.

So my total shipped was about $255. But enough boring stuff.

I'm planning on using these videos for the install: http://m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?p=2502855

Has anyone made a list of the things to watch out for while installing these? I am a total newcomer for suspensions.

I just checked my fenders, there's not much to roll anyway....it's not like the edge is parallel to the ground and facing the tire sidewall like it was in the 80's on VW Golf/Jetta....

Looks sick bro, almost too much in the rear, I personally like the rear slightly higher than the front.

I'm still shaking in my boots by just thinking about installing a $250 coilover kit in my car.
I read now alot about them...there are the haters, the ones that have them and I didn't find anybody where they really failed other then the threadstarter, but he says it was his mistake.....
I guess I have to think about it and spend a couple more weeks on shitty shocks.....

I also found these:
http://www.jdmhub.com/index.php?rout...150_7467_60272
Would give me some piece of mind considering the price.
I started a thread not too long ago in which I compliled a list of all those who've purchased these Raceland Coilovers.
See here:http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...108&highlight=

For some reason the moderators decided to close that thread though.
I'm sure there are more people now that have RLs.

well, the rear looks lower i that pic, bc im on a slight incline. You do need a spring compressor!!! It will be alot easier. Also, if you have access to air tools, you will cut the install in time by half.

i have around 11 threads in the front, and the perches still in the back. So I can go alot lower. I was on 5 threads, but these things take a long time to settle so it did and I was destroying my tires so i had to raise it back up.

No dude, I was inferring the fact you're pitiful. You buy BMW's pristine car from it's Motorsport division meant to handle and perform, and you want to throw some sht suspension on it.

i have had them on the car already for 1k miles.... 2hr drives today and all.... and they not only handled fine, but they also felt really good... not too soft... so it definitely still feels like a bmw.... and not a track car... just my 2 cents... my money was well spent :p

When you start making his car payment you can have a say about what he does with it.

the only thing i dont like is that you guys know that the shocks are not setup with the spring rate, softer than oem with twice the spring rate is not a good ride unless you are coming from blown shocks and saggy old springs

if thats the case then more power to you because oem is expensive

After reading and reading and thinking and thinking and reading and thinking I decided to not go with the Racelands.
I want a stiff, quality ride, safe and fast cornering and no "old Cadillac" feeling.

Since my shop quoted me $750 for stock shock replacement, I don't mind spending a little more on a decent coilover set.
Maybe I can install them even myself and save some more and go with a ~$1200 set.
