Double check your part numbers, you may have gotten race springs...

I have H&R sport springs..have been sitting in the garage for a year..for sport suspention coupe, part number is 29 484 HA.....mine are red and still in the box.

Check the part number on the site though

well thanks for the info I just looked at the part number and came to find out that they are race springs. Part #29484 I was really disappointed with JLEVISW because it was a LONG WAIT for nothing because I really didn't want the race spings I just wanted the sports springs so my car would not be to low I was carefully looking at the order and it does say that they were going to be sport springs. Here is a pic of the front and back

I am reallly confused because the race or sport springs have the same number
SPORT SPRINGS w/ SPORT SUSPENSION PART # 29484 front .75 rear .25
RACE SPRINGS w/o SPORT SUSPENSION PART # 29484 front 2.0 rear 1.4

Well my car was actually lowered about 2 inches on the front but probably .5 on the back so I really don't understand

I made a thread about this elsewhere, but there are three H&R spring sets for most E46(excluding the M and wagons). There are two red spring sets and one grey set. So you can't judge much by color. You need the part numbers which are on the side of the springs.

It could be 3 different color of springs or maybe the color does not matter my thing was that my car went lowered than what I expected even the part number was right and on the specs it said it would lowered the car about .75 inches and mine went beyond that

Well I hate to say it, but I've had problems receiving the correct items I've ordered from JLeviSW as well. Fortunately they have always made it good and sent me the correct products. (I'm still waiting on my tail light lens film for a SEDAN & not a coupe. Its been almost a month.) It is still a hassle when you don't recieve the correct parts you ordered though. On a side note, I ordered my H&R Sport springs from BimmerWorld.com and I couldn't be happier with them! They are RED by the way. I have ordered stuff from them in the past and it always is correct and it ships out super fast! Before I order something, I always check to see if they have what I need first.

Color does not matter, part number does not matter. What matters is what suspension you started with according to H&R

Spring name   Chassis   Notes   Drop F Drop R   P/N
Sport Spring   E46   w/o sport sus   1.4 0.75   29485
Sport Spring   E46   w/ sport sus   0.75 0.25   29484
Race Spring   E46   w/o sport sus   2.0 1.4   29484
Race Spring   E46   w/ sport sus   1.1 0.9   50484-88

http://hrsprings.com/scripts/appguid...BMW%20|%20330i

Notice how 29484 is BOTH sport and race. If you have the sport package then the springs are considered sport, if you have the non-sport pack then they are considered race.

In my mind 29485 are the sport and 29484 are the race, but that is NOT how H&R classifies them.

does your car has sport suspension or not.. I consider the 504848-88 the race springs. I've seen it the other way where people tried to get race springs and got yours 29484 thinking they got race springs and it not being low enough. Were you specific enough with what suspension you had on your car and what you were after?
