ive never actually bagged out e46's. ive just said they are nothing special. but this one isnt as common as the rest. its super clean and has been modded in a way that all the other ones havent been.

if it was standing next to all the usual fanboys e46s with their blue headlights and m3 reps, id walk over to the 318i. who cares if its a 318i? the OP obviously isnt racing it, and doesnt make lame comments as to how superior the performance is does he?

its only when people make stupid remarks that i step in. now stop whoring this thread.

Well IMHO i dont see why you cant get a pair of paddle shifters and change the existing frame of your existing wheel. Each switch just gives earths negative (-) from the metal chassis of the steering wheel. So 2 wires going through the steering column taps onto the shifter as shown on the DIY I have linked above. However you will need an SMG slip ring (or I think the heated steering wheels came with a similar slip ring too for the heating power) which will allow 2 more wires through the steering column. I think I saw someone who had done this on the US forum. If I find it again, I will let pass you the link.

mods in the wish list planned:
- Speaker upgrade (Want JBLs)
- Angel eyes (really need to look OEM like the e90 or the later x5s. Some of the AEs in the market are too bright or wrong color IMO)
- BC indicator stalk (need someone with a GT1 to help with coding)
- Black out front grill. (Maybe vinyl wrap ? where can I get some?)
- 318i in Australia comes with crappy interior lights with no map/reading lights and no foot well lights either. I've got OEM foot well lights retrofitted and awaiting the arrival of interior lights with map/reading lights anytime via post.

Yeah I like the unique look of these wheels. Not seen any e46s in Australia with them. I think this one if in the UK
But I think the contrasting colors like mine look nicer. Saw a 7series with the same style 89s and looked really good when it was moving. Sadly I dont see my car on the move
I agree with the aftermarket stuff. IMO most should not be on a BMW. I maybe paranoid and no offence to those who have replica wheels etc, but I really don't even trust the integrity of some replica wheels to have my family in it doing 110 on the freeway.
I will put more pics up tomorrow of the rear. It came with oem lip spoiler and pdc.

i completely agree and having been seeking stock coloured angel eyes for a while now. this evening i came across this thread:
http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=703862
in which the OP purchases Umnitza Orion V2 angel eyes.

these imo look pretty spot on?

I didn't like it when I looked at the car to buy. All other things were mint so I was forced to getting it but now I think its better than most colors. I have only seen one other e46 in this color in Melbourne. That's a 318i too.

Thanks mate!

Pulo, Sherweeeny I guess I have to do a bit more research and see the orion V2 in person before I pull the trigger. Sherweeeny's pic of the facelift coupe seems pretty close to what I want. Stangely the AEs on the facelift coupes almost always seems OEM. I wonder why.

Looks good!!

I miss my M3 steering wheel already. You don't realise how good they are until you have to use another one long term.

Hey Delmarco, I liked the wheels too but I sold them to another local fanatic and I now have these on

Im waiting for tires to arrive to replace these style 72s with style 135s which are my all time favorite. Tirerack are killing me!

Yes, absolutely! I drove another e46 with a standard steering wheel a few weeks ago and it felt horrible. No BMW should come with that steering wheel. As for mods, the M sport steering wheel is one of the best bang for buck upgrades IMO since you use it every minute you drive. Having said that.. if anyone wants a similar wheel with all hardware to retrofit, see link below.
