Greater enforcement of racially charged posts
The language, attitude, and innuendo towards people of different races in Off Topic has gotten out of hand. A joke here or there is one something but the occasional joke has now turned into open season on race hating. The greatest majority of these posts aren't something where a poster straight out says "I would like to burn all the Jews and steal their money, Heil Hitler," but rather something with those same undertones. It's the hint of it without saying it.
Off Topic has gotten uncomfortable when anyone posts a video of some minority doing anything. One can predict that within the first handful of posts someone will post a negative opinion of the entire race. We had a perfect example of this current disgusting trend earlier today in a thread about Sarah Silverman, where someone posted "how Jewish of her" or something to that effect. What is that all about? Is that really necessary? Perhaps enforcement of existing policies has been lax in the past leading members to think that they can spew their hate, well let it be known that we shall remedy this situation. Expect a seven day ban and an infraction for said violation. Members: Keep in mind that you can aid with the enforcement and monitoring posts by clicking the triangle ( ) to Report the Post. We'll take a look at it and if we agree take appropriate actions. We realize that there are some people that will always be offended no matter what is said and that is NOT how we Moderate. We cannot please 100% of the people and we cannot please people that are extremely thin skinned. This place is first and foremost a BMW forum, one in which people of all walks of life and all races are welcome and should feel as such.
