Theres a lot of talk about it being the most competative iPhone competitor and pretty much shows that Verizon will most likely not be getting the iPhone. Thoughts on the DRIOD, its still a huge mystery but you think it will be worth buying it? Starting price? Ect. And for those who didn't see the commercial
and on their website droiddoes.com it seems like they have a countdown but not fully sure when.

They make the enV touch look like an iphone in commercials... doesn't mean it will be as good. BTW I think phones are just about catching up to the iphone. Soon we will be back to choosing providers rather then phones choosing the providers for us.

I heard it's coming in November. It's the thinnest phone with a slide-out qwerty and it does run android 2.0. Should be a good phone to go against the iPhone.

I don't think this necessarily means the iphone won't come to Verizon. If the Droid is a hit it will give Verizon more leverage in negotiations with Apple. It's win win for Verizon.

Not sure if anyone has been following this phone...
... But I have, and I am pumped to get this bad boy next Friday. There is also this to consider, Google Navigation (IMO this is enough alone to get me excited): http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/10/28...ation-android/     Can you believe that Garmin's market cap has dropped over $1 Billion today alone with the announcement of Google's navigation entrance. Nonetheless, I am pretty pumped on this phone!  And at a price of $199 after a $100 rebate it is price competitive. Plus I can remain on Verizon; I still don't understand the Apple/AT&T thing

i've been following this phone closely as well. finally a vzw phone worth buying. that turn by turn new google maps and android 2.0 this thing will rock. it's already been getting great reviews by engadget. it's as thin as the iphone and it has a sliding keyboard so you can do both. i'm definitely getting this phone next friday. now i don't have to switch to crappy at&t.
did anyone else see garmin stock tumble with this news?
