iphone is cool, but why AT&T, I used to have AT&T and after a month of my 2 year contract, I wanted out, what sh1tty or lack of service. Verizon works everywhere AT&T doesn't. Droid will be good and healthy competition but at least make it good, it's just a plain rectangle.

Service is different everywhere. No one company is best everywhere.

there is absolutely no reason for verizon to do this. they, as well as the rest of the carriers are trying to move FORWARDS- not backwards. There would be no gain, to spend the money, time, and resources into switching to GSM. The future is LTE (long term evolution). And Verizon has already begun its process to the conversion of the 4G network.

correct, however Verizon does have a far bigger coverage area. There are more places to get better service nationwide with verizon than AT&T.

That said, if you live in an area that has great or better AT&T coverage, than verizon, and generally stay in that area- switching is pointless.

I wouldn't mind getting the iphone, but I like my Verizon Service, so I have to choose between the Droid or the Storm II.

in the end it will be your personal preference- but among reviews- Droid is already getting the better opinions.

Storm II is what the first Storm, should have been a year ago. But its no longer last year, and phones like the Droid have more to offer.

also, would you prefer the RIM OS or Android 2.0? If you like the RIM OS, you're generally better off with a non-touch screen blackberry.

From my experience, Verizon works everywhere, My wife have Verizon from the start and I switched to AT&T, there isn't a place that my wife's service doesn't work, but I can name more than a couple of handfuls of places AT&T doesn't. What good is a phone when you can't use it.

i don't understand why all this hate towards the iphone.....i mean even the bashers gotta admit that it's an amazing phone. verizon has better service and if verizon had the iphone believe me i'll be with verizon right now....The phone has pretty much endless expansion responsibilities through it's updates and apps and like all phones has it's little problems but everybody all of a sudden picks at the smallest crap that's wrong with the iphone.....palm pre was supposed to be the iphone killer and see what happened with that....if a better phone comes out that truly is better then the iphone , it will get credit that it deserves.....it's not even out and yet

I love going skiing and being on top of a secluded mountain, still with perfect reception, not to mention almost anywhere else I go in the mountains. Verizon service+sh!t phone>>>>>>>>>>iPhone+ATT

Having more caverage doesn't mean you cover the most important areas. If you look at Verizon's map, they cover a lot of rural areas... areas which most people don't even reside. Trust me, travel a bit and you will quickly learn that no one has the "best" coverage anywhere.

I dont think you've read what I said. I agreed with you. I then want on to simply say that Verizon has more coverage.

And yes, I have traveled quite a bit throughout the US. Its a rarity, when my GF's iPhone gets more reception that my verizon blackberry.

All the iPhone users need to either:

a. calm the fvck down
b. quit shoving your arrogance into everyone's face


No one gives a flying sh!t about your iPhone. Anyone could have chosen AT&T and the iPhone over Verizon but THEY DIDN'T. If you have it, great. Coco was right. You guys got it because you're fan boys. Of course you think it's better than every other phone out there. Just like all the BMW fan boys on here who think BMW is leagues ahead of other cars when it's clearly not. All comes down to preference.
