If you pay to ship them back and forth, I have all of the BMW Vanos tools (the actual BMW ones) and a binder with the exact pages you'll need to go through the Vanos disassembly and assembly. If you need any missing Vanos stuff, I got plenty of that too.

I doubt you will find many available on the used market. They are quite good, and from a cost perspective, very expensive to uninstall.

Cam tools are on the way. If I can get a dyno done they may be in within 2 weeks.

I can't wait to see it done and what the power increase is. I installed a set of these on a 325xi a few years ago but have no idea what the power increase was. Since it wasn't my car I have no idea what the butt dyno said.

that makes two of us. I found a shop with a Dynojet much closer to my house. I'm going to try to get out there within the week if I can get the scratch together. They're a Corvette/Camaro shop. They'll probably laugh at my poor little 3.0. Oh well, it's not the size that matters... right?

Please please please get the "runfile" from the dyno, and not just a paper print out. I'm collecting runfiles.

Will do. I hope they'll do an overlap for me of the before and after.

Well, instead of dynoing the car, and producing a runfile. I'd like to use Winpep to produce a desired dyno and just.... upload it to the car We can make that happen, right?

Trying to negotiate with a local shop for a deal on before/after dyno sessions. Stay tuned.

Local shop agreed to $70/ session. Sweet!

Tools have arrived. Thanks so much! Everything is coming together. Have to borrow my brother's bench vice and impact gun for the VANOS fix and I'm good to go. Very excited.

Any wagers on before and/or after numbers?
