How long till I'd let her move in? Knowing what I know now, not before marriage. She can come over as often as she likes as long as she eventually goes home.

The good thing about moving in together is that you really get to know each other (and morning sex). The bad thing about moving in together is that you REALLY get to know each other (and her right to deny morning sex lol).

Never really let a girl move in with me, so it's kind of tough to answer. Just thinking about it, it just seems way too permanent

My recent ex lived an hour away so she would just come and stay with me on weekends. It sucked. I have a small apt so it sucked even more. If i had a bigger place and an area to get away from her a little bit it may have been better.

Moved in with GF after 4 months, then married her a year after that. Don't regret it at all

I won't try to tell you if it is a good idea or not I will just let you know what happen when I let my "EX" move in with me.

1. She moved in
2. She started yelling
3. I locked her out.
4. Things got silent.
5. I went outside and there was a brick through the window of my old hellrot red M3.
6. She moved out
7. I got stuck with a 2 year lease. (and she new exactly where I lived....)

Story over good luck

If I ever get a place with my gf, I will def. rent MONTH TO MONTH, or at least every 1/2 year.

2 years?! thats an insane amount of time for a lease.

^^^ tom leykis is such a badass. One hell of a dude. He has great ideas for someone who wants to be single the rest of his life, but I think everyone can safely agree that monogamy is going to require you to be a lil b1tch no matter who you are and who ur with. Just gotta accept it and make sure shes putting in the same amount of compromise.

really hit or miss i guess. I recently moved in with someone. At first it was stressful, then it was really good....Now i think she stays here for convenience. I think the relationship personally in the shitter but i wont throw her out. A few weeks ago she told me she was looking for apartments and that she wasnt happy. I kinda felt betrayed but because I felt I went above and beyond furnishing the place etc etc.....She apologized for the comment and has been cool but I just cant get over the comment itself. Im just sticking it out...but most likely the moving in situation is what is going to destroy us eventually.

good luck

The reason why you can't get over the comment/situation is because it seems like she was guilted into making things work out (since u mentioned the furnishings aka expectations). Good luck man. Hopefully things work out for best with whatever happens.

what he said. Dating living apart isn't a good test to a relationship "together"....people are different when living together for a long time. People can put on the pretty face before meeting up for dinner and going home for the night and then leaving in the morning. when you live together for months at a time, you see the real side of the other person you OR they might not like about you. People thinks it takes away from the marriage to live together, I look at it like a good trial period before you tie the know and then have major financial commitments to each other and a helluva expensive divorce if you learn something you can't handle. Dealing with a 2 year lease and a crazy ex girlfriend is small potatoes to one crazy exwife looking to get half!
