323i No REVERSE( Dealer says Guibo)

I recently lost reverse all of a sudden in my 2000 323i automatic. Car runs fine and every other gear works fine but when reverse is engaged it doesnt do much.

So I took it to the dealership b.c I had a free inspection and they inspected the whole car. In the end they said that the "no reverse" could be fixed for under $600. They said all it needs is a Flex Disc Assembly aka Guibo.

Does this sound right? I thought it required more work to get reverse back?
Would like some opinions please. Thanks!

doesn't sound right at all. Can you engage drive and actually drive around? If so then you need to find a new dealer

I don't know if your car is having the same problems as others in that year.

Here is a site worth checking out.

I don't know what a guy from New Jersey would have to do with your reverse going out...
