Are you serious Russ? Coming from a military family I find this a bit insulting to the men and women who serve. These are trained professionals, not college kids. Yeah, you have a few bad apples, but come on.

Maybe some of them are trained professionals, but I agree with Russ. I see more fights at our local pub on a Saturday night that involve some young punk in a military uniform trying to act touch then anything else...

I've been around the military my entire life and you have all kinds of people in the military. I'd venture to say that your average 20 year old in the military is far more mature than a civilian one but they can still act like an idiot from time to time.

honestly, I am glad the dude is alive. since this happened on Ft Hood, he will be going to a military prison. he'll wish he was dead.
pretty awesome that the chick that shot him is alive and in stable condition. hopefully she will not suffer permanent damage; ie: brain damage, paralysis, etc...

I don't know. I would rather him have just been gone rather than spend thousands of dollars keeping him alive in the hospital, then his trial, and then in prison.

yea, it pisses me off.

and I love how this guy will be entitled to a fair trail and everything. **** spending all that money. The sack of sh!t was seen doing it. Everyone witnessed it and he in my opinion lost all fvcking rights right then. He deserves to die slow and painfully. Maybe crucifixtion outside of the gates of the base....

what i don't understand is how these cowards who committ these acts of taking random people's lives can justify to themselves (in their own minds) that what they're doing is right!? If you're set on killin yourself or ending your own life then do that, don't take innocent people with you just b/c u have a gun and they don't. I wish he woulda ran into an MP station or to the gun range with that bullsh1t...there probably would've only been 1 dead - HIM. Fvckin coward opens fire where no one else has a gun or a chance to defend themselves.

And on the note of military people carrying guns on post: that's ridiculous and will never happen! That's what MPs are for. Regardless of how mature or trained u guys think these people in uniform are, there are way too many of them who should not be allowed to pack heat. People would get shot everyday!
