economically productive from who's perspective? from society's, it is better socially to hire legal joe. from the employer's, the illegal is better.

legal joe payroll = $52,000 + 10% employer payroll taxes = $57,200
illegal jose = $31,200

people almost never do what's in the best interest for their country, unless it directly affects them. look at our dependence on foreign oil. so your example is not feasible. why should i go by the book and put myself and the sustainability of my company in jeopardy to help society if my competition does not do the same. even members of cartels cheat. it's everyone for themselves.

i know illegals that own houses , have credit cards , get government benefits , have driver's licenses , pretty much everything that US citizens have....whats the point in calling them illegals...they have more rights than citizens have

Furthermore, there is a lot of talk that "the next big thing" Obama will push for is providing amnesty to those illegals currently in the US. If done, that would provide all of the above AND MORE. But, that is hearsay so I won't claim that to be a reality just yet.

They certainly do. They drive on public roads, have their kids enrolled in public schools (which is approximated at costing AMERICANS 6 billion a year in tax dollars), they use hospitals, police, etc... how can anyone argue otherwise is beyond me.


Sure the numbers might be slightly off here and there but the basic principles are absolutely on point. Illegals in this country are NOT contributing to the tax system and are a LARGE BURDEN on it. If amnesty were passed, that burden would just grow exponentially.

If you ask me, those who blindly DISAGREE with something so easily are just as moronic as those who buy fully into something with understanding it.

And, as for the "it makes sense for a business to hire the illegal", that is true... but largely because of softy policies which allow for such. It's very simple.. impose a HUGE financial penalty if you are caught employing illegals. There, it's done.. simple as that companies will rather pay the premium per employee than risk a massive financial loss. We need to look out for the country and our legal citizen's futures. We need to stop siding with small groups and allowing for heartfelt policies. Politics should be conducted with the brain, not your heart.. sorry but it's 100% true.

I'll offer one: Many here that are working illegally have stolen SS#s and, therefore, are paying into the system.

We've heard it a million times over: If we really wanted to change the way things are going now with respect to employing illegals, we have to go after those that employ them.
