convertible drivers, do you wear sun block while driving?

Recently, I decided to spoil myself and bought a S2000; my first convertible.
I love taking her top off and drive around in sunny SoCal, but I have a question for you convertible owners out there.

Do you guys wear some sort of sun tan lotion when driving around topless? Not that I'm complaining, but I noticed(especially during long drives and traffic jams), that my arms and neck get baked. Just wondering if you guys could give me some pointers, thanks.

I have some Anthony Logistics sunblock (SPF 15) that doubles as a facial lotion. I wear it most days, and every sunny day. It's not greasy and doesn't smell like suntan lotion. I figure there's no point in having half my face eaten away by skin cancer when it's so easily avoided.

spf 15 is nearly worthless, gotta be at least 30+. My mom has very fair skin so she uses sunscreen all the time.

Yeah, once summer hits it's usually too hot to drive in the baking sun during the day.

THE UPDATE:

So, from my laborious research, I have found that:

1) SPF 15 is fine for daily use, but only for the average, mostly-indoor lifestyle.
2) If you spend much time outside, you'll want more than SPF 15.

Thanks for the heads-up, Fischy! I'll have to upgrade the next time I go shopping. It's raining today, so I guess I'll be okay for now.

I carry sunscreen in my car, but usually forget to put it on.. And if you leave it in there too long, it turns into soup.

Only time I got burned was when I did a 7-hour drive with the top down and a tank top on.. That was some rough sh*t.

There is no SPF that is the best. Obviously SPF 290481208 would be the best thing to get. But say it takes you 10 minutes to burn and you put on SPF 15. You do 10 x 15 and get 150. Which means it takes 150 minutes of sunlight until you get burned. Now of course an SPF of 30 will become 300 minutes and double yuor time. But if you are a person that doesn't get burned very easily sometimes SPF 15 is fine. For example last summer I would stay in the direct sun for 2 hours on the beach or doing stuff outside and didn't get burned and that was without sunscreen so an SPF of 15 would be fine for me. But you can never go wrong with a high number.

my question is, why wouldn't you wear sunscreen on your face even if you don't own a convertible? I wear some every day on my face so I can look younger when I am old

I don't wear sunscreen but I should. I use lip balm with sunscreen though. But those tan lines from tank tops and shorts...crazy to get rid of or evened out. For a girl, wearing a bikini with tan lines from your shorts is not very attractive. I think I will buy some this weekend!

I'm already old (at least by the standards of this forum) so I have to do everything I can to keep from looking really, really old.

I drive with top down near sunset, it's the BEST. Not too hot, not too cold...and no F'n sun all up in my grill

But then there are people who love to drive top down ALL day long, you'll definitely need sun block. I carry SPF30+ in my car. I hate the feel of sun block, it's just nasty.

Convertible essentials:

1) Sunblock (it'll come in handy - see #5)
2) Cap
3) Sun glasses (I carry two in my car, both Oakley's - also see #5)
4) Windscreen (wind in the cabin makes it difficult to talk - also see #5)

AND

5) Hot Chick (you don't want some ugly chick next to you, people stare)

I just bake and have yet to get a burn while in the car. I was getting a nice t-shirt tan for awhile though.
