I have a rooted Droid X running Android 2.3.3.

When using voice dialing, the handset says the bluetooth system is being used for the sound, but the sound comes out of the handset and the Parrot module never says, "Discreet Mode." When I do push the "Talk" button on my steering wheel, it says, "Discreet mode." I push it again and it goes right back to the car's stereo. Not sure what firmware my CK3000 is. It's the Black Edition if that says anything.

Mine took 9 days. It all depends on US customs.

ipod integration with hands free

Hi there, im new to this site as well as a new bmw owner. I wanted to say great job to all who post the DIY. I have been reading up on a lot of the posts before i bought my e46 and cant wait to start working on them.

Question: can you also inner grade the aux input for an ipod and this bluetooth hands free stated in this DIY and this link to an ipod Aux DIY? I would love to have hands free with my iphone 4 voice command as well as use the ipod app to play my music.

here is the link:

Brilliant DIY!!! Thanks DelMarco :-)

Would anyone happen to know if this setup will work with a steering wheel that doesn't have any control buttons? (yes, unfortunately they made some of those...)
This DIY is so great I actually started looking on eBay for steering wheels with phone controls... A little pricy unless you're willing to go without the airbag...

Thanks!

330d limousine

great topic.
i have a 2001 330d limousine model with every extras you could think of, but no bluetooth connection.
It has a tape radio with monochrome satnav and a cd changer in the trunk. when looking for the oem mic location, i found it in the center of the roof, actually 2 of them connected to a plug with 4 wires. I do not know where the wires go but would like to use the existing mics if possible.
also, how come the car has 2 mics connected to i don't know what but no bluetooth?
When i scroll through the radio menu, it does not show phone.
Please help
thanks

Quick answer is yes, but there is a better way.

Instead of using the connect2 interface that provides a connection to the steering wheel buttons, use the QCBMW-R from www.quickconnectproducts.com/ with the ck3000.

This combo wont really save you any money, but it will use the relay pack shipped shipped with the parrot & its a better sound quality solution. The connect2 has been reported to inject noise into the system.

Does anyone who bought the ck3000 still have the original harness available? That part seems to be sold out on the parrot site and I need the original power and mute cable.

Yup. Is that all you need or do you need the complete cable set?

I actually found those on ebay but if you look closely, those harnesses are from an eclipse bt-600 and not the original parrot ck3000.

And another cable with what I call the relay pack that handles the speaker switching.

Anyway, I have the cable you are talking about. I can send it to you.

I can take a pic if you want to be sure.

I just received my CK300 Evolution and CTPPAR008 cable loom. However i was wondering now for a while the following. What if you don't have a sun roof. Where to place the microphone, i do have an idea but was wondering what is a normal spot for this.
