Hi guys, latest version of the firmware on the parrot site is 5.28c.

With my HTC One, audio does not switch over to bluetooth until AFTER voice dialing. The changes between 5.25 and 5.28 are pretty vague. I would liek to revert to 5.25 and give it a try. Does anyone have a copy of the ck3000_5.25c.bin file?

BMW X5 (E53) Parrot CK3000 & Connect2 installation method ?

Hi,
As somebody has already said, AWESOME tutorial !

Has anybody else done the same (or similar) for a BMW X5 (E53) Parrot CK3000 & Connect2 installation method ?

I'm tearing my hair our trying to work out what to connect to where

I THINK that the Connect2 40 pin connectors go on the pre-amp located in the boot (trunk) section next to the battery and that extension cables are needed to get the Connect2 & CK3000 EVO boxes to the front of the car (but it may be microphone extension & Parrot controller extention cables needed ?).

Any ideas please ?

Thanks,

John

Thanks Steve.

I just got an iPhone 5S and I've been trying to figure out this.

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket radios that are not expensive (<$300) to make it a lot more easier? It doesn't need phone function.
I was always curious why Bluetooth Music streaming was always a popular request in this thread until I recently used this feature on my fiance's C300 Benz via my iPhone.

It is good in that it reduces the wiring involved in playing music from phone to car.

I think the issue with the E46 is that anything running thru the intended Bluetooth to Speaker channel will not be stereo quality.

I think the Dynavin kits do this Bluetooth Streaming better than a standard Bluetooth-Phone-Pairing kit.

Steve. I have a question.
I never upgraded my Parrot module so whatever version my module has is from winter 2009 (or earlier) when I first installed it in the car. My module has always worked flawlessly with my Blackberry phones over the year to do exactly what I needed Bluetooth in my car to do so I never considered updating the module.

Are the updates worth getting the cables and new firmware? Are these firmwares adding new features?

Thanks.

Here is my video showing how to reset the memory and pair the parrot with an iPhone.

Hi Olaf, sorry I have been offline for a while and didn't see your post.

No, the new firmware code does not offer any new features, it simply offers greater support for android devices.

A couple notes I can make regarding the HTC One:

1. The HTC One running Android 4.1.2 (as shipped in Sept 2013) did not support Parrot voice dialing at all - even with the new firmware in the Parrot, the Voice Commander software would launch with the button press but the BT audio would not be activated until the call was initiated. With the 4.3.0 update the phone behaved properly and used the BT audio for voice dialing.

2. The HTC One sounded great over the speakers but the received mic audio while in a call was terrible - back ground noise and I sounded like I was yelling with food in my mouth ... and the audio feedback was crap. It was unusable. During BT audio testing - I found an sound recorder app - was good, it was just bad while in a call.

In January I switched to the iPhone5 and it perfect - works as good as my blackberry 9780.

Just wanted to say thanks for this DIY! I found a new open box on Craigs list for $50 (PK3000 kit, and Connects2 harness) some guy bought and never hooked up. Took me 40 mins, and viola wife now has hands free.
Perfecto!!

My Parrot is 3100 is from something like 2003. It would not accept the new cell phone (droint) that I purchased. Would not update for latest version of Parrot (5.x?). Sent it to Parrot and they did it, no charge. Works perfectly now

Probably a dumb question, but my wifes complaining of poor call quality. I TT her today, and sound was pretty poor(installed mic where factory mic was) How do I know what software version my CK3000 has? Is it worth it to buy an update cable and update firmware? Or is this just as good as it gets?

Shes using an Iphone 4S, and voice just sounds very distant/faint. You can hear the person your talking to fine, but drivers voice is the problem.

thanks
