Eulogy written by Maynard James Keenan of the band TOOL

He had a lot to say.
He had a lot of nothing to say.
We'll miss him.
We'll miss him.

He had a lot to say.
He had a lot of nothing to say.
We'll miss him.
We're gonna miss him
We're gonna miss him

So long.
We wish you well.
You told us how you weren't afraid to die.
Well then, so long.
Don't cry.
Or feel too down.
Not all martyrs see divinity.
But at least you tried.

Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud.
We'll miss him.
We'll miss him.

Ranting and pointing his finger
At everything but his heart.
We'll miss him.
We'll miss him.
We're gonna miss him.
We're gonna miss him.

No way to recall
What it was that you had said to me,
Like I care at all.

But you were so loud.
You sure could yell.
You took a stand on every little thing
And so loud.

"I'm too smart when you're invisible by the bone and the symbol on you. So he bashes his skull through the window while over looking the sea. Twilight amber ego. We were amused by this"

Standing above the crowd,
He had a voice that was strong and loud and I
Swallowed his facade cuz I'm so
Eager to identify with
Someone above the ground,
Someone who seemed to feel the same,
Someone prepared to lead the way, with
Someone who would die for me.

Will you? Will you now?
Would you die for me?
Don't you f*ckin lie.

Don't you step out of line.
Don't you step out of line.
Don't you step out of line.
Don't you f*ckin lie.

You've claimed all this time that you would die for me.
Why then are you so surprised when you hear your own
Eulogy?

He had a lot to say.
He had a lot of nothing to say.
He had a lot to say.
He had a lot of nothing to say.

Come down.
Get off your f*ckin cross.
We need the f*ckin space to nail the next fool martyr.

To ascend you must die.
You must be crucified
For our sins and our lies.
Goodbye!!!

They say only about 10-20% of Americans are Atheists, but half the people I know don't believe in God...
Which is strange because I'm from Texas as well.

The funniest part about some religions is their clothing.

Burquinis... :fapfap:

Temple garments.

And now some motivational posters. Not all are related to religion directly, but you won't mind.

A recent USA Today poll showed that at least 20% of Americans do not believe in God. The number of Americans who stopped believing in heaven doubled from 2003 to 2008 (humm what happened during these years...).

There are a lot more free thinkers/ atheists/ and humanists than people recognize. I'm tired of watching religious fanatics mess up this country and its time to start fighting back and letting our voices be heard.

Props to BRUTL TA for being man enough to stand up for what he believes. Too many people are worried about offending or pissing people off.

Okay, some more (I have enough to go for weeks...), these ones are pretty funny...

"I give money for church organs in the hope that the organ music will distract the congregation's attention from the rest of the service."
-Andrew Carnegie

"Nah, there's no bigger atheist than me. Well, I take that back. I'm a cancer screening away from going agnostic and a biopsy away from full-fledged Christian."
-Adam Carolla

"Christ was only crucified once, and for a few hours. Think of the thousands he has been crucifying in a quiet way ever since."
-Samuel Butler

"I'd sure like to help the colored, but I Bible says I can't."
-Senator Pat Robertson, father of current television evangelical preacher

"I believe that men are generally still a little afraid of the dark, though the witches are all hung, and Christianity and candles have been introduced."
-Henry David Thoreau, Walden, 63

"Why should we take advice on sex from the pope? If he knows anything about it, he shouldn't!"
-George Bernard Shaw

"It will yet be the proud boast of women that they never answer contributed a line to the Bible."
-G.W. Foote

"For the first time ever, everything is in place for the Battle of Armageddon and the second coming of Christ."
-Ronald Reagan (1911-2004)

How about some good quotes about Atheism...

"The Atheist Bible, it could be said, has but one word: 'Think.'"
-Emmett F. Fields

"Perhaps God chose me to be an atheist."
-Stanislaw J. Lec (1909-1966)

"An atheist doesn't have to be someone who thinks he has proof that there can't be a god. He only has to be someone who believes that the evidence on the God question is at a similar level to the evidence on the werewolf question."
-John McCarthy (1927- )

"[All] religions eventually die out;But atheism will live on regardless of what new religion replaces the old."
-Ignots Pistachio

"I don't believe in God and I don't believe in Mother Goose."
-Clarence Darrow (lead attorney is the Scopes Trial)

"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."
-Albert Einstein

"In some awful, strange, paradoxical way, atheists tend to take religion more seriously than the practitioners."
-Sir John Miller (1934- )

"Since experiences of God are good grounds for the existence of God, are not experiences of the absence of God good grounds for the nonexistence of God?"
-Michael Martin, American philosopher

"Atheism is a non-prophet organization."
-George Carlin, American Comedian

"The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of a phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we shall be slaves on Earth."
-Mikhail Bakunin

"A belief in an afterlife has the unavoidable effect of making this life less unique and precious;Good luck finding an atheist willing to strap a bomb to his or her back, or fly a plane into a building."
-John Bice
