Mods and Review - H&R Race Springs, MYCARR CCFLs,Clear corners, Bimmerworld, Khoalty

Ok so recently i went a little mod happy. My amber turn signal fell out of my car so i decided it was time for clears, and since i was online i also ordered some CCFL angel eyes from Khoalty as well. While i was at it i decided to spring (pardon the pun) for some H&R race springs from bimmerworld.com

now that everything is installed i have decided to write a review about the products and the vendors and to share my experiance. I also found time at teh end of all this to wash/detail my baby so i posted some phooshoot pics at teh end (unfortunatly all pics are taken with a POS point and shoot so they arnt the best)

First the Vendors:

Khoalty - I have heard people having issues with them but i decided to try it cause of their winter sale prices. I ordered MYCARR CCFL angel eyes, as well as some depo clear corners for the sedan. Also ordered some mirrored bulbs. i had a good experience overall. Khoalty gets 2 demerits however. the first is that i placed my order Friday afternoon and it wasn't processed ti the fallowing Tuesday night. I was kinda expecting it to be processed Monday morning and shipped Monday, however this slight delay didn't really affect my install schedule so i wasn't too worried about it. the other demerit was the packaging materials. first my clear corners were wrapped in bubble wrap and there was a scrap of the original clear corner box randomly laying inside.

the other issues is that khoalty used fedex to send my package which is not an issue but they are committing mail fraud by ordering the free USPS boxes and putting them together inside out and using them to ship on other shipping companies. they are cutting overhead by not paying for shipping materials but this is illegal. Cant say it bothers me all that much but for those who it might you now know.

As far as Bimmerworld.com is concerned i would definitely order from them again. not really a lot to write cause they did what they promised when they promised.

Now to the products

Angel Eyes and Clears - been installed for 2 weeks now. very bright, i am very happy with them. the clears give it a nice euro look. especially with mirrored bulbs.

so now to the performance part of the psot

H&r Race springs - AWSOME- the drop is hot and more importantly the whole suspension feels taught and muscular. corners are now flat, drifts prediatable, bumps absorbed in a controled fashion. i have a sports package car that really feels like a SPORT package car.


so H&R claims a drop of .9" in front and 1.1" in back. this is true, you feel lower sitting in the car and while the bumpers dont looks too much lower the gap in the wheel wells completly dissapears. I am still running stocks (dforce ltws in the future ) but the car looks a lot better.

well all in all 2 weeks later i am very happy with all my mods.

they supply all sorts of free packing materials but it is only legal if you use them to ship things via usps. just log onto their website and they will deliver the mats right to your door.

Khoa is a boss.

you work for USPS or something? people reuse packing materials all the time to cut costs to you, the consumer.. granted, flatrate USPS might have been cheaper for khoa to ship to you, there are far worse things people do than turn a box inside out.. that said.. car looks great with the new additions. you just need to dump those snowflakes and get some wheels to set it off!

i ordered from KHOA, no issues... no Demerits... i see no reason to throw KHOA under the bus.

really, you complaining about the box he used??? wtf... sorry im drunk and pissed off and giving negative feedback on a box is just totally stupid.. if you got your junk and it wasnt broke then who cares what box its in.. was the price right??? yea, otherwise you would have ordered elsewhere... wtf... im so pissed today.. crappy day for me today.. and its coming out in my posts.. sorry.

like i said in the op i dont have an issue with it. i just pointed it out. its ok. i dont like being ragged on but i am not throwing khoa under the bus. in fact i have recommended them to several people and sent some business thier way. and ya the price was right.

ya the fronts are a bit torn up on the sides but they got like 4/32s in the middle.


autoX is a lot of wear on those tires especially when understeering on a gravely/asphalt surface.

Those tires should have been replaced 10k miles ago.

actually i am completely serious.

they got torn up at mineral wells. i have autoX 3 times in my life, i am learning, and tires are one price that is paid. they will be replaced sometime in the next month probably unless i go ahead and find some new wheels.

something looks off on your angel eyes... looks a bit weird for some reason.... and those tires don't look safe at allllll loll
