My concern with the Acc circuit is that since it stays on momentarily after the car is off, it might be a little undesirable with them still on as I walk away from the car. I hope I don't sound to anal over this, but I am very particular with my car and what I want to do with it.

thats cool, you dont need to go 6000k, just work with a vendor to get whatever color you'd like. I've seen 5000k bright white, looks really nice. 4300k is too yellow for my tastes, but it will fit right in with e90/e39 look.

Well this is something you will definitely need to figure out, sounds like you are willing to lose sleep over something so miniscule.

in my experience:

-- 95% of the time, the AE's shut off approx 6~7 seconds after the ignition is turned off.

-- 5% of the time, the AE's take a significantly longer time to turn off. This may be due to long trips or for some freakish reason the e46 has a ton of spare juice running through the system. My way of fixing this [if i get picky] is to simply turn the car to acc [engine off], let the xenons fire up and run for about 5 seconds and then turn it off again. Now it goes back to the typical 6~7seconds post shutdown run-time.

That is my experience, i'd like ot hear from others to see if they have something similar. You have the right to be picky with your car's performance, functionality, just dont go so far that you limit what modifications you can do to make your ride sweeter.

Ok I have a question that is somewhat related. I want to tap the harness to the interior lights so it would fade out when I lock the car or open the car. However I do not have a footwell light. Where would be the next closest light or accessory that I could tap into?

Thanks!

Pictures of the wire to tap into? I am installing angel eyes on my 2001 330 CI also. I want them on when the Ignition is on and off when I turn the key off. Which wire do I tap into? Thank you
