Thanks, lots of good looking pets in this thread!

i got him from a breeder in FL who's family has been breeding ABDs for over 60 years. He's a bit on the small side for his breed but it's hard to call him small. Compared to our last ABD, he's fairly small.

This was Bo, he made it to 13 years old.

Bosley's markings are pretty unique. People always comment on him when out on the street or eating at a restaurant patio.

1 from a breeder in KY and the other is a rescue. Never had a frenchie before, but they're great dogs. Big personalities, good temperament. Fair warning: they can have vicious gas If you have any questions re: specifics, let me know.

Wife wants a smaller dog, frenchy is the only one I want to consider for a small dog.... plus they are high energy, so it will be good for our boxer.

Yeah, well, we have a boxer...... he crop dusts us all the time.... or he will just fart out loud and look at us like "what?" .... we are used to it

That's how I ended up with them--needed to get a dog ~30lbs or under. They're definitely a "big" small dog. With their bulldog genes, the males are usually broad/stocky.

What cracks me up is when Mack (the tan one) lets out an audible fart and immediately turns around in a circle, as if it surprised him--with a "where the fvck did that come from?" look on his face. Hahaha.

Just got this little girl. The wifey wanted a Yorkie. She's actually a Yorkie Lhasa Apso mix. Her name is Lacey. 6 weeks old.

Now just gotta get Molly (3 yr old pitbull) used to her. Molly is at my parents house and although she didn't do anything aggressive towards Lacey, she did seem territorial, but her tail was wagging so I assume she's not bothered. So hopefully when I bring them both to my new house they will be good.

Apparently they are hard to potty train and they bark a ton, but so far she's been good. She didn't use the bathroom until I took her outside and after only a little bit of whining she goes quiet in her cage. When she is out of her cage she whimpers if I'm more than two feet away from her though... But again she is only 6 weeks old.

So far it's been good between them. Molly is a bit territorial, but not aggressive at all.

Freakin' adorable. Glad she and Molly are getting along so far.

FYI, and maybe you know this already, but tail wagging can be a sign of asserting dominance, too. You have to watch the positioning of the tail, down is submissive, up high can be sign of aggression or assertiveness. IIRC, the hypothesis is that wagging the tail with it raised up spreads their anal scent around more to assert their dominance over another dog they perceive as challenging them. Level with the back or only slightly raised is generally friendly.

You have to watch the total package of body language. Watch her ears (laid back is bad) and how she holds her head (relaxed is good, lowered and extended is bad). Watch for lip twitches that precede actual lip curls (displays the canines to appear threatening) or snarls. Watch for an otherwise-not-sleepy dog to yawn a lot (also displays the teeth).
