The e60 was really ugly. The new 5 series is the logical continuation along the lines of the e39. You have to be blind not to see that. Finally a good design by BMW.

i think it looks like a bigger version of the new 3 series, it looks good. definitely looks better than the new 7's. bmw is good at creating designs that are a little questionable when they first come out, but will be drop dead gorgeous in a couple of years

I really like the rear 3/4 picture. The taillights look too much like the Lexus G, which isn't a bad thing a little differentiation would be appreciated. It's tolerable, and certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. The front is horrible though. Way too much mesh at the bottom, and the hood curves are very awkward but that could be because the bumper is so hideous. New bumper and it's

Oh, and lose the sharkfin.
