I just did this mod on my 330, and i´m very happy with the results.

Maybe i just take out too little foam because the armrest is a little high on the top.

First of all, sorry for bumping up an old thread.
Am I correct that the lower seat cushion is the same for cars with and without ski-pass/fold-down seats?
I have the fold-down seats in mine and I'm planning to put the cupholder in the seat cushion like Lemonsqr, but I hate the thought of cutting up my seat just to find it doesn't fit.

Yeah it is the exact same lower cushion. It pull up and forward to remove it.

Touché, just bought and received one yesterday, under $50 from fleabay; sanded it down and sprayed fresh beige paint so after its dry, time to start cuttin' (lower seat cushion)...

Genious! I always needed more cup holders because as you guys know, we cant have the armrest down if we have 2 cups occupying the cup holders up front!!
