Neil1138's Interior Project, tis gonna be fun

Well I haven't had the sport seats long but we all know black seats are wayy out of place in a tan interior. I thought about just going the simple route and dyeing the black seats tan but where is the fun in that? Though tan interiors are damn sexy done the right way, it is time for a change. People have had good experiences with dyeing interiors so I'm going to give it a shot

Sourcing black interior parts: I have so many parts on order but these are the ones I found at the junkyard. Got them all for $150 total

Some of you guys thought I would be doing imola red but apparently doing a color change to imola is near impossible to do. They explained to me how red dye isn't as strong of a dye as it used to be and how it would never turn out well because imola is just straight weak red dye, nothing else. But they said cinnamon would work because it was a potent dye with whites, yellows, reds and oranges in the dye. So I ordered 48 oz of cinnamon... this is gonna be tons of prep work, lol

I will be dyeing the front seats, rear seats and all of the door panels cinnamon. It will be done in the coming weeks so subscribe! Just wanted to shout out to Alec for helping me out with questions, I really appreciate your patience. This thread will be T3 death once I'm done, just sayin. I liek my pics

Nice project man! I'm tempted to do the same thing ever since I picked up my Alcantara seats, have a grey interior and trying to decide the best route to go with the black. Are you going to dye the door panels? I'm tempted to go that direction, pick up a black carpet and then cover the headliner in black suede.

looks like a fun project. I am in the same situation (black seats on tan interior). I think I'm just going to redye the black though as its coming off on the driver's seat

Haha yeah but normally you don't put black seats in a tan. It doesn't look horrible but it kinda looks funky

Yeah, I mean I picked up the seats for just under $200 so I probably could. Just don't want to mess with shipping costs I guess, they are being used for a good purpose though. The rear seats are tan, haha

i've actually got black memory fab racing seats in mine as well as black floor mats.. it is pretty cool with the cf vinyl stuff that i have my trim wrapped in
