Most definitely, that is what happened with the rear deck. I put one coat of dye on and for some reason when it dried, it was almost gray compared to the carbon-ish headliner. I put another coat of dye on it and now it looks great. I have a bunch of photos guys, just waiting to do a final batch upload. A lot of work is happening today, I will update

You guys will laugh at this, but I used black rit dye. Believe me when I tell you that with proper prep, it is the most legit dye for the money

srsly :|

Neil this project is turning out great Definitely looks like you are putting the time in and the results show it! Curious as to your process for the headliner, I really like how the color has come out and am considering taking this route when I do mine.

Keep up the good work man, can't wait to see the final results!

I don't even own an e46 anymore, and I'm rarely on this forum anymore, but this project of yours keeps me coming back to check on the progress. Very nice work, I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up buying a e46 again because of this.

The update you guys really want to see. I am not done so there will be more updates. I haven't driven my car in 3 weeks so I'm off for the night

I experienced catastrophic paintbrush failure the other day and Chris aka Fluxe46 was kind enough to help me out. Late night crew ftw, that is all I can say. Thank you my friend

The headliner. I will take more photos when time allows me. The tan pieces you see get covered up so I didn't bother painting them

How I put the panels back together, using #8 screws w/ washers

The new paintbrush, thank you Chris

Yes, they are goddamn expensive for what they are.

Alright, here is what I found out after dyeing one seat. You CANNOT dye a seat properly when it is put together in one piece. Where the backrest and seat cushion meet, you just can't dye in there properly unless you take it apart. I learned this after I had to take apart my drivers seat and wetsand and redye it. I did the passengers seat properly, at least that is how I would do it again

And what you guys really want to see. There are some small pieces missing because I have yet to put them in. This is all you guys get for now, as I progress though the final steps I will update. Cheers guys, I'm tired
