Where Do You Think is the BEST place to find a used to buy and why?

I just wondered where the majority of you search for vehicles to buy and what experiences you've had with direct access to the seller, selection to choose from, decent marketing of the vehicles, and how you initially make contact with the person or dealership that has the vehicle for sale. Also, what about these sites do you like and what do you think needs to change or be added to enhance your shopping experiences on these sites.
Here are the choices:

1) Autotrader.com
2) Cars.com
3) Craigslist
4) Ebay
5) Forum Site

Thanks for your input!

i would say the less headache is the dealer's cpo because whatever happens after the sale all you have to do is bring it to them and fix it for free....

I got mine off an ad on craigslist, seller was very friendly and honest and actually held off other buyers for a day until I could come and look at it since I emailed him first. Although in general buying off craigslist is a pain in the ass, because it seems like getting clear responses from people is difficult, especially via email.

I'd say the best deals can be found on criagslist though. Or in a good old fashioned newspaper.

eBay because there you can see what is in supply (what is for sale) and what is in demand (how many people are bidding/buying what model cars).

Also eBay lets you do a "completed listings" search so you can find out what cars sold for what money or what cars didn't sell at all.
