Im in the process of buying my system. Right now Im looking for some components. Do you know which is a better buy the M6's or the HEX's? I'm going to get the 6.5. Which will fit better? Which sounds better? Right now I have a d7104 to run them. Also does anyone know how the TDX subs sounds? This is going into 03 sedan 325i.
Thanks |

I don't think they make the HEX any more right? Just the M3, M6's, and the S series right?
I have the S series in my Lexus, they are ok....not too bad....I used to have the diamond HEX 99 series....those KICKED A$$!

Defintely go with the hex s600s... They sound awesome!
I have last year's Mac Daddy subs and they're great... I haven't heard the TDX's though. The M6 subs will probably he good enough if you're running your entire system with the 7104 like I am. It's plenty of power but the TDX might require more juice

TDX requires LOTS of juice... 1500 watts. Hex components are the sh!t. It goes (from highest to lowest): Hex, M6, M3... all good speakers.

I just got the d7104 amp yesturday. Man that thing is huge! I just ordered a pair of the s600s. Still trying too look for a d7104. That amp is going to be used to push the subs. I don't know too much about the MacDaddy subs. Can someone shine some light in to. And since tdx is going to be out of my range and i have gotten lots of mixed reviews I might be going to the MacDaddys or the M6's. But then again do you guys think the d7104 will be enough if i do go get the tdx's

Here is what the MacDaddy's look like. The MacDaddy's were replaced with the TDX line, but I'm sure you can still find some somewhere.

I picked the 7104 up for a mere $600.00 brand new in the box.
Do you have the Specs for the MacDaddy's |

does anyone read my p0sts?

mmm...mac daddy's
You've gotta remember that the Mac Daddy was always a sound quality sub. Sure, it would hit hard with enough power, but the excursion waas never long enough to really hit those high SPL levels. In fact, that was the case with all of Diamond's old subs. The new subs have been we worked with longer excursions and more powerful drivers to boost SPL levels while still maintaining their famous SQL. The TDX, in my opinion, is THE sub to have right now. They're quite expensive since you can only buy retail (at least that's what Diamond has tried to work out), but I don't think that you'd be disapointed. The 7 series amp is definately a good TDX choice. I personally want to make sweet, sweet love to the 7 series amp. That aside, getting older mac daddy's can probably be done. Call diamond dealers around your area, you might be able to find some. Also try e-bay; however, be weary of e-bay purchaess, because they were very popular subs and may have been abused. Diamond =

OK I KINDA HAVE AN IDEA ON WHAT SUBS TO USE NOW. BUT GUYS NEED HELP WITH THIS. IF I AM GOING TO RUN A D7401 SHOULD I GET 1 OR 2 10' TDX? OR IS THE D7401 NOT ENOUGH POWER?

One 10 will probably be best. That way you can run enough juice from your amp. You can run the 2 channels of the 7104 to mono at 400 watts. Just enough power to run 1 10" TDX with no distorsion. You can always go with the M6 if you want to run a pair of subs. They are great subs and don't require that much watts to push them. It's your call
