Best sounding sub in custom box

Just wanted to know what the best sounding sub is for a small custom box. I want to be able to get into my spare. i want to know what sounds the best without taking up much space. i plan on doing just 1 10" speaker, so i want something that will sound really good. thanks

the JL audio W7 sounds great i have been told, but it also does require some space... maybe look into this setup:

Yeah probably not a W7 since they require such a big box. The one in the picture looked pretty compact, just in one corner. I like it.

Are there any big difference in sound quality comparing W6 and W7's?

Hi everyone,

What type of subwoofer is the 1st picture on this post? And does anyone know how much that setup will cost?

I'd like to get something like that for my car.

If you want something small, and completely removable, without having to fab an enclosure, I'd go with an Alumapro BP-10

Try eDesign K series...Amazing SQ! or Image Dynamics IDQs. Both work very good in X-tra small boxes. I have the A series and I love the way it sounds....

a

Its always difficult to say the BEST sounding sub because lots depends on the amps, the cables, even the batterys and capacitors have influence.

I can only say that i have a very nice sounding sound qualety sub in mijn trunk and aldouh there may be subs out there that hit harder i think the soundstream SQ 12 inch sub can defenitly compare if sound qualety is concerned.

Also the fact that the cost of a soundstream sub in comparison to a W7 is probably 1 to 2 factor
Its also a question of is it realy wurth it to pay double for a little little bit of difference?....

pic of my sub in the spare

Yea, but if you own Soundstream you never know if they are going to be in buisness or out of buiness...they go out of buisness at the end of almost every year....then then come back.....

Good luck replacing the stuff if something goes wrong.

Alpine type R's don't take much space.

Also any Kicker sub.

JL's are nice too.

I'd say fuk it....4 15's! Trunks are for stero's! even if you do those small installs you still won't put stuff back there...in fear you might hit the sub.

I need more space for my groceries. I've already got a 10" rockford fosgate subwoof in my trunk and buying groceries doesn't give me enough space hehe. I've gotta put some on the back seat each time now. So I need something smaller that will allow me to use more of my trunk.

And having kids doesn't help much either, as i gotta put all the toys in the trunk too.......

History proves you right but in theory that can happen to a lot of brands. We customers are always the last to know

on a note: for amps al the parts are the same with little difference to what brand it is. I can have any brand amp fixed for 70 dollars with parts that are the same as original even is the amp is burned up in half
