I just have the sport package suspension, and with the driveways/entrances and holes around here, I doubt I'll ever go any lower.

Most people are selling their OEM Sport springs in the For Sale section for about $75-100 shipped. I think that's a fair price.

What's the ride like in a sport package equipped E46? Mine is standard suspension and I find that it is a perfect balance of taughtness and loftiness. I've driven a 128i w/o and w/ a sport suspension and I didnt like the sport suspensions because the ride was overly jarring.

Would it be OK to install the sport springs only on the front of the car? I'd like to get rid of that wider gap at the front but would like to keep the rear (non-sport) as it is.

Just curious: I'm about to make the swap from OEM STOCK to OEM SPORT, is there anything special that I need for this swap?

for me, it was worth the change to H&R for a little more of a drop and the added spring rate. this was after years of running oem sport springs with my konis. it's always cheaper to do it when installing new shocks for labor and then the insuing alignment. "rake" in this case refers to the car's level. the front being a little lower than the rear. some can make the springs equal amount of drop, some a little less. H&R has a bit more front drop
