wtb: high mileage/need of work m3/zhp coupe
looking for a daily driver, dont really care for something in perfect shape or with low mileage, as i drive 700 miles or more a week and id just ruin something nice.
looking for m3, or zhp coupe, must be manual, no smg no auto. had a sedan, dont really want another. salvage title might be considered, depending on the details. high mileage, or in need of mechanical work is fine. looking to stay in the northeast, closer to north jersey/nyc area

i think you need to buy something that doesn't have problems now.. and drive it 700 miles a week.. i am "assuming" that you have a good place, tools, time, knowhow, experience, etc to work on the car yourself.. but you still need to start one with something decent that wasn't neglected.. you will spend the first few months paying for the previous owners' (trailing comma = plural) mistakes and will end up paying more than you would if you got one in better condition.
of course i am forgetting that you will probably inspect them, and have a good idea what is wrong before you purchase and it may be a fix that will negate all of the previously mentioned costs of repairing/maintenance costs and ultimately be a good deal for you and a good learning experience. after typing this, i feel like i may want to move it to PM in order to not ruin your thread, but for now i will leave it here unless you request me to remove it..

no, its exactly what i want.
to save off the intitial price, and use my hook up on parts prices and the fact that i work on bmws for a living to work out for me in the end. the problem is im looking for a specific car, otherwise i would just get e36/x5 etc or whatever pops up.

I've got a 94k coupe ZHP, but doesn't need any work currently. Not sure what price range you are in but we can talk.

wow, your car is a very good deal, but the only thing turning me off is that its a vert.
if it was a coupe id be all over it. gonna have to think about it for a while. im also considering manual trans wagons if anybody has one.
