front suspension "clunk"

Driving over small bumps i have the "clunk" noise on the front of my car
BMW tech (a friend of mine) said this stuff has to be replaced. He just replaced my cam shaft position sensor and ran the diagnostics on it, and everything checked out. I was worried about the clunk noise so I had him inspect everything, and this is what came out as being needed.

L&R Front swaybar links
L&R Lower control arm bushings
L&R Front struts & pads???

Anyway where is the cheapest place to get these parts. I have aftermarket sway bars Eibach. Should I call BMW for these parts or is there an online or source that may be cheaper?

Assuming you have factory suspension aside from the sway bars, you should be able to get factory replacement parts at any reputable auto store (Napa, McLaughlins etc).

Ball joints and swaybar links? Also I am still confused about "factory" suspension or sport. I am not sure what my car has. It is lowered, but it was purchased that way

Clunking is usually caused by end links.

Replace the front upper strut mounts first. I spent 3 years chasing that down on my own car, so far I've replaced every single front suspension/steering part besides those and the car clunks TERRIBLY

went to a german shop today near me in edison,nj
Went to give a quick check because i had vibration in the steering(shakes) everytime i hit the brakes. So i didnt know exactly what it was. Anyway, so i decided to bring for a quick check, he said rotors seem fine, but i needed to replace l/r control arm bushings.

WITH LABOR AND PARTS= 300 BUCKS

iS THAT A REASONABLE AMOUNT??

That's not bad. Does that include alignment? You will need one.

99% this is your problem is your sway bar end links. I have done this on my personal E46 and we have done it on our shop E92.

We have several options available, however I recommend the use of MEYLE HD (Heavy Duty) replacements. They are a perfect upgrade over the stock units, and include a 4 year warranty from Meyle!
