Question for everyone driving lowered cars with aftermarket lips

I'm currently running the H&R race springs on my car and about a year ago I had my front bumper repainted. Well I had to put the car back in the shop a couple of weeks ago because my car was backed in to. So I'm getting it back today with a whole new front clip freshly painted and everything. I was considering putting an aftermarket lip on the car, but I wanted to ask all of you that already have them on lowered cars how well they're holding up. Do you suggest getting a painted or carbon fiber, or just leave it alone since I've already had problems with the stock bumper? The bad part about it is that the car is black and the chips are so noticeable.

I had a celica lowered with front lip, broke it off 3 times.... Now my rule is, eaither lowered or lip kit, not both... Id say stick to stock or get a diff bumper.. Did you already get the new bumper on and painted?

Yea the new one should be on and painted. I'm waiting on a call from the body shop to go pick the car up, they said it should be ready this afternoon. I think I might just stick with the bumper. The roads around here are pretty harsh.

My Ride: is a money pit.
I have the race springs on my coupe along with the mtech2 and CS splitters - I don't have an issue with scraping unless you're going too fast up/down a slope. If I were you, I wouldn't go painted since you have a black car.

I have a zhp stock height with a one peice lip carbon over fiberglass the bottom is scraped up pretty good because the roads and driveways around here suck.... I am lowering the car and putting an m3 csv v2 bumper on with no extra lip...... I think some one above me said it best eihter lower the car and leave the bumper alone or add a lip of splitters.... Unless you drive like a grandma or live in lala land where all the curbs are smooth and small.
