I want to do that with my E46. My parents keep thinking the things that I do to it are totally unnecessary every time I visit and we get into car talk. They just don't understand Sure, I don't need to refinish my wheels. I don't need to buy an M3 tri-stitch steering wheel. I don't need to get a bluetooth/SOS module. I don't need to clay-bar my car, remove the swirl marks, and re-wax it. But I want to, and you can tell a car is really cared for just by looking at it. Those are the ones that stand out.

yeah f^% em, lifes short.

having converted the old e46 to s54 sedan, built and sold a widowmaker e30 v10, currently working on an e30 n54 when i find the time, owned a bucket of **** e92 (such rubbish), and driven many many cars from friends, family etc,

the only thing that after these years stands true is the old e34 m5, is just something else. im sure other bmw handbooks specify the ultimate driving machine, but really it couldnt be more true for the e34m5. it cant be explained, you just need to drive one.

i still love bmw's, just not new ones, they are rubbish at least IMHO. The last bmw with soul is the s54 and v10, and the biggest soul of all goes to the s38.
