Smile HPF M3 running with ORPCA for fun at PIR Thursday the 17th.

There are quite a few amazing cars registered for this event at Portland International Raceway this Thursday. I decided to take the day off of work and track the HPF M3 at this event. I will literally be driving from our shop to the event (only 15 miles). Our shop is too busy right now to pull my techs away. If they free up, they'll come down and help out. I'll put on the Gopro camera's and get some video footage of the event.

Here's a link to some of the cars that will be there. (Lots of Porsches, Vettes, Lotus' and an Ariel Atom - can't wait to see that car)

http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...1EFCD4198A00E9

If anyone wants to come and visit, I'd love to meet you there. The track will be hot from 8:30am to 5pm.

Chris.

Chris.
A year back I had the opportunity to drive one. There were being manufactured in the same building as my old work (in ashland, OR) and the guys offered to take me for a ride and let me drive. Blew my ****ing mind. You will like very much!! Have fun man! The way those things corner, incredible.

After flexing my body thru the cage into the seat and putting the 5 point harness, we go on the track, although I know how much HP this car has, and how fast it's should go, I was still shocked when Chris floored it, hard to explain the brutal explosion of power, the straight section of PIR never felt so short before, but then we into the turns and that were is the real surprise, I was 100% the car will break loose when you exit the turn and go on the throttle, but the car has tons of grip, and just shoots out with not much drama even at low gear and high RPM, this machine is a wild beast and Chris definitely did a good job behind the steering wheel.
Thanks Chris.
Golan... thanks for going to the ride along. That was definitely a great time. Everyone there was very professional. JP looked at the logs today and figured out what the jerking was. He's made adjustments to keep the traction control off in these cars. The Karwerkz M3 and mine were just accelerating to fast. JP is going to disable our traction control completely in both cars especially since I'm nearly hooking up full throttle in 2nd gear.

I'll post up videos shortly.

Chris.
