I didn't want to say I told you so, but I just couldn't see there really being a gain considering that the manifold was potentially flowing more than the head could at this point. But I applaud you for giving it a shot.

I was going off the fact that Dinan took the time to develop one and sell it. On the plus side, I'm a step ahead when I have my head work done.

It's data, and I appreciate your effort to publish it!

Looking at your plot I have to wonder: does your car accelerate better at 3.5k with the torque or 6.5k with the HP?

Your car will accelerate quicker at max torque(~3500 rpm), not max HP.

Yeah, right? They charge a lot for that TB, just to do nothing? Glad you took the time and got this done though Brady. Definitely doing great things for the forum.

Did you still have the magnaflow on for the dyno?

can't wait for the head work.

Welcome to "real world testing" Brady.

Remember, I spent thousands and weeks of my time doing the S50 swap, and I lost 30rwtq below 5000 RPM.....

Sometimes things don't work out exactly how you expect.

Yeah. I'm a bit disappointed. I wasn't expecting gobs of power, and I'm just glad that I didn't have a real loss. Honestly, I think the only reason it's showing a HP loss is due to less spiking up top. I really think humidity attributed to it, too.

Exhaust is being welded up as we speak. If it's a bust, I'm going to be pretty upset...

Not the prettiest welding, but I asked him to fit it into my budget

Plus, ANYTHING is better than my welding!

Hopefully really really really good.

The muffler is the same width as the Magnaflow, but a little longer. Resonator is a little smaller.

Another:

At this point, it'll be one piece. I'll probably have a vband welded onto the rear section after I get it dyno'd. Don't want to sink any more cash into it until I see that it's made some power for me. I hope I'm not in the market for a new Magnaflow exhaust in a month....

you have a funny way of trying to sell your car sorry to hear about the TB, but hopefully the exhaust will help you.

I'm not going to stop having fun with the car just because I wouldn't mind getting into something else!

Thanks, hope it works out well!

I have comments, but I'm having a pretty crappy day. I'll save them for later.

Yes and no. I'm happy with the piping, and the sound is growing on me. Definitely deeper. I feel like it's holding back a little in the high rpms, now. Chad (Stett) said he was worried about the y-pipe. He said it was going from 2-2.5-3. He said that might cause some loss up top. I won't know until I hit the dyno.

Unhappy with the tip, but I didn't pay for a nice one because I wanted to make sure I was happy with the performance.
