Just change the speakers??
Hi guys, I'm a beginner in I.C.E. Just got a question about replacing the speakers. I have a 01 coupe, non H/K. If I keep every stock (headunit, amp) and only replace the front and rear with 6.5 (2-way maybe), will I get any improvement in sound quality? Like bass and treble? Or it won't work at all?
And how about replacing the headunit only?? Which way will I get a better gain??? Thanks in advance!! |

you wont maximize your aftermarket speakers because i think the oem amp does not run at 4ohms..or maybe it does..better to change both amp and speakers

speakers
Some are 4 some are 8 ohms and the amp has an internal Xover. So....if you are going to change the speakers.....you pretty much have to change the amp. Unless you go to partsepress.com or someplace like that and buy morel or dynaudio or focal separates and match the impedances with what the stock speakers are.
