Two options...(similar wheels), pls advice.

Hereīs the story short, my beloved SG went for itīs scheduled wheel balancing and alignment. The guy there tells me that I should send two wheels in for checkup due to noticeable issues during balancing from pot holes, curb rashes, daily use over time Then he carried on telling me how I should be more careful and , as I could only picture on my mind that well known image of 18 inch CSL wheels on a red lowered sedan. So I had the bright idea of getting new wheels

So, while saving $$$ for my drop, Iīm extending my search for a wheel set as I might just get a new look, instead of just fixing up the old school wheels.

The current setup: Breyton Magics 18 x 8.5 w/4 month old Toyo Proxes 4 225/40s (aprox. 3k miles on 'em), which I would intend to reuse.

While browsing around I noticed good prices from Modbargains on CSL wheels, but I donīt have enough knowledge to spot a real difference from two options offered.

CSL Style Wheels 18"/19" Staggered & Non-Staggered
(#CSL_Wheels_MW4)

18" BMW CSL Style Wheels Silver Non-Staggered, 18x8.5'' all around for E46 3 Series
(#bmw-e46-wheels005)

Could someone share some enlightenment please?

One is the VMR brand and the other doesn't specify although thought Modbargans also carry the Miro brand. Not sure why they don't say Miro...maybe they're something else.

Those are the same wheels in the links you posted. VMR VB3 CSLs, however one is for staggered fitment vs. non-staggered.

I'd be happy to help you price out a wheel or tire package. Shoot me a PM if you'd like a deal

We offer 3 different brands of the CSL wheels

1) VMR
2) Miro
3) ModBargains CSL

We do so well we just need the back ups to provide our customers with timely service! We do offer great prices and also have an awesome Anniversary Sale to show our appreciation for the loyalty!

Same wheels? I think not...

- One shows VMR as manufacturer, other doesnīt say
- VMR is 18x8.5 ET+40, other brand is 18x8.0 ET+35 (I donīt know if this is significative for my all around setup or not)
- One comes with BMW centercaps and ///M Stickers, VMR says "BMW centercaps available upon request" but nothing on stickers.
- Last but not least price from one brand is $164.95 vs VMRīs $174.75 p/wheel.

From last post, I could understand that the Sku #: CSL_Wheels_MW4 would be ModBargains CSL brand, which IMO looks similar to Unmitzaīs CSL (who offer staggered only, which Iīm not after).

Interesting.

I was not aware that outside of VMR and Alufelgen, there were other MFGs of CSL style wheels.

Should not have been surprised as these wheels are so popular.

There are differences in the wheel, I never said they were the same wheels. I said we carry three different brands of it.

I didnīt reply that against you, but to the one before yours.

Anyways, what would the difference be on these wheels, between 18x8.5 ET+40, 18x8.0 ET+35, in regards of fitment pls?

PM Replied.

Retaking my last question, is there any benefit on a non-staggered setup from VMRs 18x8.5 ET40 over other brand 18x8.0 ET35 ?

Both fitments would be almost identical. The 8.0 +35 will be sitting 1mm more in then the 8.5 +40.

Obviously itīs time to post & share basic stance images:

- Photoshop aside (still need to adjust drop & camber some more)

Oh yeah, and this...

Thanks for watching!
