Those wheels will work but will require spacers to prevent rubbing on the strut side of the vehicle. Use a 10mm spacer for the rear and about a 15mm for the front, maybe 12 depending on what suspension you have. |

8.5 width with an et35 sits flush with the front fender. In order to clear the struts, it will definitely poke. Last edited by Penguin Koolaid; 02-17-2010 at 04:33 PM. |

I ran an 18x8 et20mm up front and the lip on the wheel was flush with the fender. As for the back it was a 18x9 24mm offset that needed the fenders trimmed and negative camber.Apex Motorsports sells a 18x9 square setup for the e46 and the offset is 42mm.So I think with some spacers you'l be fine maybe some tire stretching also

You'll need at least a 9.5 +33 up front to clear the shock/coilover body. Anything higher, you will run into problems. With that said, you can throw on a 255 tire up front with some camber.

-2 is pretty aggressive compared to the stock specifications. Plus he'll have to stretch the tire as well. Then he'll just have to worry about the tires wearing quickly on the insides.

A stretch wouldn't be too necessary. A 235/45/17 tire *should* fit with a bit of a slope on the sidewall, but not a huge stretch look. With a 20mm spacer I say it is doable depending on how low you go and with factory alignment, -1* front camber.
Being said, it still has to possibility of rubbing. Its what happens sometimes when you start doing custom, out of the ordinary fitment. |
