My Ride: 97 Z3, 02 M Coupe
New here, showing my stable of Z's

My 97 Z3 2.8 Roadster and 02 M Coupe. The coupe is Laguna Seca Blue with a two tone black/LSB interior and powered by an S54; one of 41 produced in North America in this color and one of only two with a sunroof delete. The car wears AC Schnitzer front splitters and rear wing, exhaust and pedal and shifter knob. The Montreal Blue roady with OEM hardtop has an M52 with Conforti CAI and Shark software, an M50 manifold swap, Supersprint exhaust, and TC Kline S/A suspension.

Wow.

Everything is so nice, but I question why, with such classy, expensive mods, you would put on those cheap looking headlights? Beautiful cars regardless, but don't seem to go with your theme.

Thanks. Original Z3 headlights are quite hard to find and have lousy light output. The housings are plastic and pit and fade easily. The aftermarket Umnitza lights look pretty good in person, have AE's and are HID projectors with vastly improved light output. I am looking into refinishing the original lamps and having a projector refit using the lights from an Acura TSX

Sunroof delete Laguna blue Mine is a 2001 Steel Gray Metallic.

I was going the write a new tread to about those lamps.

Cause I also hate my oem's light output but, when I see how they are made in the back, with exposed wires and all it does'nt inspre confidence.

Did you have any problem with them?

I also collected a bunch of OEM BMW xenon parts, cause we used to replace E46 headlamps like babys change diapers, when the cars were still under warranty. I'll probably be doing the same as you and retrofit them in my OEM housings.

Let me know when you do yours to see how it goes. I'll show you mine if I get around it before you do. It's always nice to have 2 brains working on the same project... Twice the ideas and solutions.
