Smoking after stand still

Hi

I have noticed a big problem with my car.

If i go for a drive and get the engine up to correct temp, then stop with the engine still running.
If i wait for a couple of minutes, then drive off, i have a huge amount of white smoke pooring out of the exhaust. This then stops after about 20 seconds.

This only happens if the car stands still for a while.

My oil level keeps dropping and needs regular top ups.

I have done 140k miles.

Does anyone have any ideas ?

When my cars have done this in the past it is usually indications of valve guide seal problems.

Cars get old, things get wore out.

I am seeing the same thing. I have 113k miles on 2001 330 CI dinan. I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow to get it checked.
Did you find out what the problem was?
