it should... just need to make sure to have a catted midsection... i don't know the cell rating that you should get, but having the cats+ o2 sims should pass the sniffer and obd check

I also noticed an improvement with the underdrives and +2 mpg to boot! Nothing like getting headers though

Depends on your state. In TX, no sniffer, just OBDII connection. The sims tell the DME that all systems are go, so it passes here. If you have a visual or sniffer, you're (probably) going to fail. That being said, my buddy's 91 300ZXTT has no cats and passes sniffer. Go figure.

I read you feel the under drive pullies more with an auto tranny; I am going to install headers... how would u rate feel of the pants improvement on a scale of 1-5?

It's more a sound thing than anything else. 9 times out of 10 a louder car will "feel" faster. I think a lot of people would be hard pressed to notice a 10rwhp difference with a whole bunch of noise involved.

I would rate the headers as a 3 and the under drive pulleys a 1-1.5. I haven't ever felt more of a gain messing with an exhaust on ANY car and I have put headers in 4 of my own other cars (2 mustangs, bimmer, old mopar)
I do have an auto tranny, so that may have something to do with why I noticed the mpg and power... but it wouldn't make much sense to me why that would matter. Its such an even across the board gain I think its harder for people to notice. air filter would be a 0 even though It does make it sound a lot better ![]() we will see with the rest of my exhaust system in a month or so |
