WTB: Cat(s)? for Ebay Headers to ZHP

Looking to buy high-flow cat(s) from 325/330 Ebay Headers to ZHP Exhaust.

Do I need 1 or 2 cats? What size will fit a cat-back ZHP Exhaust?

Will be going magnaflow.

Thanks for the help.

i think you'd need two unless you get a y pipe and then just put one cat after it

Yeah, I don't want to do a Y-pipe, that'd kill my performance, especially with a dual pipe system like the 323 and 325 has.

I need a cat because:
1) don't want the nasty sulfer smell from a cat-less setup
2) want it to be a little quieter
3) I care about my emissions

If I need 2, that would suck (twice as expensive), but it is what it is. Any idea about dimensions? (I think its 2.25 or 2.5)

Magnaflow high flow cats won't make your car much quieter. Very little, but not worth noting.

I would suggest two cats like in the picture below. They are magnaflow offset cats. I didn't go offset but I wish I did. When installed after the header/exhaust flange, they will fit perfectly with the long flat surface facing the bottom of the car (opposite of pic below) This will keep the cat from vibrating against the heat shield, although finding them in the stock ZHP diameter may be hard.

Sounds good. Making it super quiet isnt so important, but it just needs to be toned down.

These look like they will work great! Stock ZHP diameter for each tube is 1.5 inches, right?

Do you the sniffer during the inspection? If not just get a active autowerke tune with the rear o2 delete. The smells not overwhelming. If anything install it without cats first and see how you like it.

if your gonna put cats back in i wouldnt bother with headers since whatever you gained is gonna be lost with the cats back in place.

Not true. 1-2 hp difference with high flow cats. I care about my emissions enough that its worth it for me. I'm still getting a better exhaust and some extra ponies.

Upgrading cats wont make a big difference, no more than a pony or two at most.
