FS: OEM roof rack for E46/E39 with Thule ski attachment

The roof rack is the BMW OEM version, it mounts into the fold-up roof flaps integrated in your bimmer. BMW calls it the "base support system" which just includes the mounting feet and aero style load bars. I've mounted a Thule 6-ski or 4 snowboard ski attachment ("Thule Universal Flattop") to it. The base rack will accept the BMW-branded accessories (bike, surf, etc., see http://accessories.bmwusa.com) or you can use Thule attachments with a little care.

FITS: E46 3-series sedan and coupes (1999-2005), or E39 5-series sedan (1998-2003?). all mounting hardware and key locks included in the sale.

$180. I prefer NOT to ship. Buyers in PA/NJ/DE/NY, we should be able to meet. Get this while the ski season is still hot! I'm located outside of Phila.

new photo, Thule wrap around the load bar fitting

Hello all. I've been taking PMs from people asking how things are mounted with a Thule attachment and the OEM rack. The photo included here is a fitting that came with the Thule ski attachment. In the configuration I had shown (first set of photos), these fittings were NOT used. I used standard metric bolts from homeDepot to mate with special rectangular nuts that originally came with the OEM rack. These odd shaped nuts slide into the load bar channels and hold your attachment of choice in place.

People have been asking to separate the attachment from the oem rack. If I can get buyers for each, I can do that but I would need to keep the odd rectangular nuts with the OEM rack so a new owner can mount whatever. These appear to be odd BMW parts to me....I suppose you can special order them but it's a pain.
