Active Autowerke 323/325i Kit, 25K Miles, $2,700 OBO

I am parting out and selling my car and have decided to remove and sell the Supercharger kit too. It has just under 25K miles documented. I can show you the installation mileage receipt and the uninstall receipt. The buyer would be responsible for having their DME reprogrammed by Active and for purchasing a new bottle of Rotrex lubricant. It comes with a belt I just had installed 500 miles ago. Your total cost is $2,700 + DME reprogram + Rotrex Fluid.

http://www.activeautowerke.com/viewp...x?id=Product18

My preference is a local Southern Cal buyer. It should be off the car and ready to ship in a week.

$2,700 OBO.

Guys, the price for a DME flash is $800 and the oil is $100.

A brand new kit is $5,600 shipped. I'm at $3,600 OTD or best offer.

Roastbeef - I live in Huntington as well if you change your mind or want to make an offer I may take it. The car is being sold so I have no need for the kit.

You can probably bargain a "reasonable price" with AA. But the kit is well worth it IMO. And for this price its a great deal.

i know this is a great deal and i have the money to do it, but i'm really trying to lay off the modding of my machines to save money for a house. growing up sucks, good luck with the sale.

plus, i don't even know if it would work with my m56 sulev engine.

How much would it cost to install it? Or is there a DIY guide?

It does have a DIY step by step guide in color that I will give you (hard copy and soft). If you are not mechanically inclined, I'd personally recommend professional installation by a shop familiar with Turbos and Superchargers. Why? Because you are modifying a sensitive piece of art in a BMW motor. A good shop can easiler ascertain any small issues such as boost leaks, proper connections with the black box, etc. Expect to pay about $800 to have it professionally installed. Just my two cents.

I think it technically will fit your car, the concern I have is the tubing diameter and the DME flash. If anyone has an expert opinion please share.

Sunday Bump!

Locals offers are not high enough. Willing to ship at buyer's expense. $2,700 + shipping. I'll clean and package everything early next week and provide pictures.

Whats the typical lifespan on a SC kit, I have heard that they need to be rebuilt and I am a little put off by the mileage on this kit. Otherwise I would be interested and make an offer.

Vikes8411 as for the long term reliability of the SC I can comment as follows.

The only part you REALLY need to worry about breaking is the blower itself. And for even that I wouldn't worry too much. You can see from the pictures that the kit involves a lot more than a blower. But the blower is the component doing most of the work. With that said, consider that it is only being run at max 8psi with it's own dedicated oil system, an oil cooler and $100/liter synthetic oil. Also consider that the mileage is fully documented and I don't drive my car like a boy racing kid. I can show you pictures of the car which will substantiate my claim of caring for it. What I can't do is guarantee it lasts X number of years. To cover yourself do a little research on the FI forum on longevity. Most people will tell you the charger will outlast your engine if you change the Rotrex oil on schedule. It is run anywhere from 0-8psi max boost. To get 8psi of boost would mean you'd have the RPM pegged near the redline. How often does that happen? In occasional surges? Most of the time it is hardly being used at high boost if any at all.

That is my 2 cents but for the record I am not an expert so if someone disagrees with my findings please let me know.
