this guy was cheap compaired to some other local places! one place was asking $220, and another $180, so this seems better for around me i guess

Holy lord... Just to take off the muffler and put a pipe in it's place? That seems ridiculous

that wont sound like your car. that vid is a 330 zhp (bigger engine, dual piping underneath). yours will sound similar but quieter. if you DO decide to do it, post up a vid.

if i'm not mistaken, they sell universal mufflers without tips. so you buy that and buy tips from magnaflow or wherever and have a shop do the welding. Check borla.com then go to amazon.com

well put on the borla muffler, then see what it sounds like, if its something you dont like, then put the other resonator on. Having said that, I'm pretty sure a 323 with headers and no resonators and a muffler will sound raspy and pretty loud. Right now, i have one resy and a magnaflow, looking to get headers soon and the sound that will be created with the combo i have is something I love, so I would suggest doing the same. But like I said, try it out, then if you don't like it, you can always have the guy jack it up again and put the resy back on.

So, after reading this entire thread it seems some are for and some against this muffler delete. I wouldn't mind trying it out, seeing as its way cheaper then any catback setup and easily reversible.

Question is, what kind of piping should I use if I decide to keep it? I got the size as 2.5inch, but it wouldn't feel right puting generic exhaust pipe from Canadian Tire.
What about tips, where can I get some decent ones and how would I mount them to the pipe? Weld?

Lastly, does the new piping require any sort of makeshift support bracket, I'm not sure how the stock muffler hangs, I haven't been under my car yet.
Looking foreward to this!

Throw on a glasspack at the end. That said, you shouldn't be getting THAT much, if any, drone.

Just pick up a Y shaped exhaust tip through magnaflow. www.magnaflow.com

Unless I can be stunned by hearing a muffler delete in person, I think I've decided against this mod.
