The one thing I love about muffler deletes, is every car sounds different. My 330ci doesn't sounds anything like any other 330ci's with muffler deletes.

2000 328i muffler & resonator delete. I've had the muffler delete since last summer, but just recently I had the resonator removed.

I'm debating on whether or not to go for a muffler delete or save up for a Rouge IKON exhaust, my friend has an Eclipse with delete and thinks that if I get the delete then I'll get a ricey sound which I'm not going after. YouTube videos don't sound ricey though. Thoughts?

rogue ikon is kinda quiet compared to a muffler delete. The ikon has a nice tone but not loud. Almost like a 335i sport exhaust, maybe a little louder than that. Muffler delete will be quite a bit louder and a real low rumbly sound. Very muscular. Rice is the last thing you need to worry about with your two choices. The ikon sounds with headers btw. The muffler delete sounds with headers. (bad) lol

I've heard others say it can sound like a diesel truck as well, is it that deep or are they exaggerating?

Ive checked out a few and they dont seem to sound like that, but there is nobody here local that I could hear it in person from

I got 2 estimates at $170 and $225.. these are way to high right?..... and there my tips

get magnaflow premade dual tips. They looks perfect on the car and easy to install for the shop. Make sure you get 76mm

yeah the 170 is a bit high and 225 is rediculous to just cut off a muffler and weld a tip.

I went to a local guy who has his own little shop. charged me 130 to take out a resy, muffler and to install piping in place of where the resonator went and install my new muffler.

My friend got a magnalfow muffler and they charged him $80 just for a custom Y pipe, I would rather not pay that much. What's the part number for the magnaflow tips?

Yeah this is pissing me off that i can't get a realistic price for this muffler delete. I think cause they see a 18y.o with bmw keys in his hand and they assume i have money so they charge me out the ass

thats exactly what they think. Sometimes i'll have an older friend talk on the phone to get a quote that way they hear an older dude. but I went to a stand up guy that does european cars for a living in my area

Another maybe noob question. Since there two pipes all the way through don't you have to get two single tips?
