Agreed, I would expect to pay well under half of that if I paid someone to do it.

I did mine about a month ago, cost me $100 including piping and tips. Its nice on cold starts and while taking off from stop but it gets annoying on freeway and not to mention I rev the piss out of my car a lot more now. Sounds like a fart can inside the cabin at freeway speeds IMO. My car is 325i 5 speed manual and at 80 MPH it revs around 3300 RPM and thats the RPM range when its the loudest. I am putting my stock muffler back on this weekend.

Sounds like a fart can? Post a vid inside your car. I've had countless people PM me about the vids that I took from in the cabin (on the first page) and nobody has ever said it sounded anything but great

agreed. just got mine done for 70 bucks total. prolly could have got it cheaper but the shop was down the road.. coolest mod, because its enough noise increase to remind you of the power your bmw has, but doesnt compromise the 'classy' euro tone.. i love it,.. 100% reversable if you happen to not like it too. just make sure you dont forget your muffler when you leave the shop!

I heard your sound clips before doing it and it sounds great in those clips. Don't want to dis on you or anybody else but it sounds great in clips only. In real life it gets old real quick (maybe thats only me) but hey! I have my own opinion. If you (or anyone else) likes it, thats all what really matters. I didn't like it and thats why its off of my car now.

I'll get some pictures tomorrow. Coupe or sedan? My rear is an OEM M3 with muffler delete. Piping goes around the spare tire holder. I will PM you some good info on it.

For an m3 muffler to fit, you would have to cut out the spare tire holder for sure. I just did piping $150, tips $70, oem bumper $120. I custom fit it myself.

I am having this done tomorrow, unfortunately the nearest place that does this kind of work is the same place I had my 1937 Chrysler royal 4 door convertible restored, they charged me 16k for a valve job. They are charging me $200 for the whole thing which isn't surprising, but I am rather disappointed seeing as others have said they've had it done for as little as $50. Also quick question, can I use my stock tips? I will post a video when it is done.

Sweet, I can't wait, based on the videos others have posted I think it sounds amazing...especially for the price, even though I'm paying $200 :/

Alright, got the car back today, sorry about the extra bits in the video, I didn't feel like editing it. I'm just that lazy. Anyway here is a picture of the setup and a video of some revving and acceleration up my driveway...again im just that lazy and had to drop something off in the mailbox.

^How is the noise inside the cabin while driving? Can you talk at normal level to your passenger(s)?
