In a garage, especially with the door closed, I think we'd be fine.

OK.

Unless someone is extremely eager to install my headers (lol) I guess Ill hold off untill theres better weather.

The HIGH for friday is 41. Sorry jake, but even I would turn down that kind of weather unless someone has some sort of heated garage. Thats really cold...

If you guys seriously want to help me out then lets get a date down. Weds will have the nicest weather so thats my vote. Who else wants to be involved? Ideas on where were actually going to meet?
Oh wow. I didn't buy new header gaskets, just exhaust ones and I'm fine. Ive still got those exhaust blips (I'll post a video soon). Um I could help wendsday but I mean if it was just me and you that would take a while. But I'm down to help with you and Jake on Friday afternoon for a few hours. It's not that hard. Just bolt off bolt on, and did you get your o2 sims? If so then you should be gold but I would get your o2 sims before you start I you havnt. It will be a PITA if you don't later on (I still need to install mine :/). I'm down for helping you out anytime except for wendsday after 3. Hell if you really wanted you could start yourself since you hVe no school for 5 days Which is more than enough time to get it done...but As I said before. Don't do it until u get o2 sims.

Jake, a 4 car heated garage sounds perfect if your willing! So itd be jake, me and devak? any other takers for the theoretical friday... thing? Between them two I dont think there would be any problems getting my headers done considering they've both done them before lol.

devak, is there any upsides to the O2 sims other than the CEL thing? Like engine performance or smoothness? If time permits, then Id rather just get the headers on and not wait for the sims...

So you two wanna plan on friday?

Upsides? Ok your car needs 4 o2 sensors functioning ( or at least think they're functioning) to work 100%. When you install headers you only put the 2 pre cat 02 sensors in but leave the post cat ones out. If you don't put the o2 sims in you will run either lean or heavy because your car will know from the precat sensors that the engine is working but because the post cat ones dont show a change (should be filtered air going through it) the car won't work right and will be wackBoth of which is not good for your car...and in the end you will lose any power gained from installing headers plus u will have a ces light to deal with...you can put headers in and do it without o2 sims and you can buy o2 sims anytime so it doesn't really matter. It wont be smoother, but the car will be just like before you switched headers except for 15 extra hp...

I didn't get o2 sims and my car worked. And you can wait to get them. Plus this is the only time I am free until winter break so I'd just do it know and order the o2 sims and do that later. Hell I've had headers for like 5 months and It still drives fine. Not perfect but fine

Anyways if we meet up friday, which I'm hoping for, I can do the u2 sensors and show u how to do them so u can put them in on Ur own,

Last note: anyone here ever clean their icv? Is it hard? I think that might be why my engine is blipping

Thanks man, just to make sure section 3 is the last portion, closest to the end of the exhaust? I'm 99.9% sure but just wanna clarify

My 18 foot rims are still nicer than Ur shitty rims. And I've known for a while I'm just to lazy to change it

02 sims don't have anything to do with power. They are only for emissions and since you guys don't even have emissions. No fuel trims nothing. I'm running headers no sim (have the sim just too lazy to put it in) I'd take that 40 bucks and put it towards a cheap code scanner. Sim only turn off the CEL nothing more nothing less. UNLESS your talking about the weight savings of deleting your 02's I've done a few peoples 02 sims here in st louis and it honestly will take you an hour. My dash always looks like a Xmas tree... no washer tank no abs cel always on seat belt light always on no traction control.. brake light always on lol
