Yeah, I got everything. All OEM bmw. Most expencive assortment of nuts and bolts ever.

I took a quick exhaust vid last night with my new camera. Ill get that uploaded.

Here is my lock beep vid if anyone is interested. It can be changed to siren at the dealer too.

Its quite so dont be afraid to turn up the volume.

Quick Exhaust Demo. Tripod was crooked and it was 11 pm... If anyone wants an exhaust vid done then just let me know.

I still think electric exhaust cutouts would be pretty cool. This kit is cheaper and looks small enough to fit our cars. Even has a controller with included remotes! (lol?)

Dude, just put the headers in. Put cats in the section1 and remove the resonator, replace section 2's resonator with an x-pipe, then straight pipes out. It will be ****ing beastly. Shouldnt have much rasp at all with the cats. It will sound ****ing insane

For the moment I just want to get the headers on and then work from there. I dont want it to be too loud so idk about going with no muffler. Race cats wont to much of anything for sound (might get a little quieter) and the x-pipe is more tone and dynamics. Like I said, we'll see.

The cutouts are appealing because I can play with the sound all the time. If I want quite then I can be quiet, or If I want to deafen people then I can do that too. Putting the valves right after the headers doesn't sound all that great but its loud... so maybe I'd just put them before my muffler for a part time muffler delete.

I wonder how much of this is muffler

Looks like this guy also made some vids of just a CAI + headers and everything else stock. So this is what my car should sound like about...

BMW's without a muffler just sound too raspy for me.. When you go flying past someone they are expecting to see a Honda which to me is degrading.. I would say go for headers, racing cats and a muffler. It would give you some great sound at high RPMs but still being able to keep quiet for those light nights coming home without waking the neighbors. A cut out would be nice also, especially for some track racing or when you want to scare the S*** out of people. I liked the way The Curry Man's sounded. It had a nice tone at idle and sounded great until about 4-5000 RPMs then got too raspy. It might be just cause I'm a muscle car kind of guy and like deep tones rather than high pitch sounds. Anyways thats my advice, good luck with the Headers!

We have similar tastes in exhausts. I agree, rasp doesn't fit well. Especially sense my car looks pretty stock to most people. Brads car pulls off that exahust setup though lol. That first vid I posted sounded pretty good to me

Random subject change Does anyone know if the shark injector power chips are any good? Is it worth the money or just a waste?

Yes they def are. I have one, it removes the topspeed limiter, increases shift points to 7k and sharpens throttle response, when combined with headers, afe intake, eisenmann exhuast, and 3.46 diff swap it really works well

I've also heard they can run too lean?

Active autowerk and others have flashes "customized" to your mods. Supposed to be better for $600

For maybe $1000 (if you can find someone to do it) you get a custome tune to your car it will run like (air fuel ratios will be perfect)

All depends on what you want. Some people say its more woth it for the rpm limit raised and other parameters like that over gained power. The running lean thing is a little consearning to me. My car has already thrown a running lean code once before

I'm just wanting a little more pep in the step. I pull on to the highway when going to work and I pulled out in front of a prius and had a hard time getting up to 60. I just mainly want better acceleration and throttle response. Going past 6500 Rpms doesn't thrill me since it redlines at 6000 :/

M52B25? That kinda sucks....

Im not a huge fan of running my engine up that high near 7k, but everybody says its fine and I guess noone else has had their engine go only because of it...

What does jake have? I think intake, headers, exahust, diff, and tune - for starters? oh an pullies

For what you want I say go for it, it will be the cheapest thing you can do as far as tune goes. But I have to disagree with Jake in the aspect that it's worth it from an overall HP gain standpoint. I've seen dynos for the M3 where a car has headers, full exhaust, intake, pulleys (the works for NA) with a conforti shark injector and gained over 12 whp when going to an ESS tune. Exact same mods only change was tune on the exact same dyno, with 12+ ponnies. Jake said it right it will change you rpm, rev limiter, and throttle response but any tune can do that. The shark injector is a canned tune, it's a cheap alternative and certainly not anywhere near the best.

The shark injector is easy to get, easy to install, and it works, that's not up for dabate brad, but yes, there are better tunes out there, but there is no majic tune with 50 hp for our cars, I'm not keeping the m52tu so I don't care about the long run

That's why I said for what he wants to go for it. What you said is exactly right I was just saying there are far better. No not any 50+ but like I mentioned above 12+ is a ton for our cars.
