Hello folks! I'm just looking for all the "e46ers" in Kansas.... I feel so left out :bawling:. I cant find anyone else that does these cars around Johnson County! Met a really cool guy awile back and will be meeting him next weekend you can find his thread here: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...664&highlight= . Other than him the only other person I know Has a 325xi with cheap ass wheels and hes a total douche! HE EVEN KEYED MY CAR AND IS TELLING EVERYONE I COPIED HIS "CAR IDEAS" AND MODDED MY CAR WITH HIS IDEAS BEFORE HE DID! :ben: :censor:. So anyway calling all Kansas E46 Fanatics!
Basically a bunch of small improvements and changes.
You can look at the differences in sedans from 2002 to 2003.5 and coupes 2003 to 2004. M3 never technically got a facelift but it did get some nice new things in like 2004 IIRC.
Looks like the OE M20 was ditched for a modded M50 in the winter of 2003. Then in the current owner took ownership in early 2008. The S50 was put in late 2010. I have no idea when the interior stuff was done, but I think alot of the suspension stuff came with the 5 lug swap in early 2004.
There's alot of money in this car.... I hope this guy actually responds to me
Oh, ok. I thought it was like an add on piece... not a replacement piece...
I took another look at the quote for my car. Vince wants roughly $700 for the parts and $500 for the labor :loco:
So, I need your guys' help: Where else can I go to get a new bumper painted and mounted? I know various chevy and ford dealers will do body work... but
Battery? blow it up? Battery should be disconnected? Either way if you only have a 12max you need more than 12volts for the process. You will obviously use some of the supplied voltage to do what you need to do. You need 12+ volts constant. If you don't have a 7k red line your not sharked.
My friend wanted to have his FJ cruiser painted matte black cause its bright yellow right now. I reccomended he do this and hes like nah, would look great on your car though!
The charger is a 2 / 12 / 75 amp car battery charger. I dont know exactly what voltage it charges at. I didn't disconnect the battery from the car while flashing though :dunno:
Do I really need a battery charger?
Yes! The installation of the Shark Injector requires power from the battery. It needs more
power than the battery can provide without the alternator generating a charge (and it***8217;s
obviously not possible to have the engine running). This is why a battery charger is
necessary. BMW dealers use battery chargers when updating your car. Can you install the
Shark Injector without the charger? No. The Injector checks for voltage several times during
its programming. If at any time it detects voltage levels are too low it will give you an Error
Code (123 or 124).
To ensure a constant voltage for proper operation of the Shark Injector***8482;, attach a high quality
battery charger (ex: Sears DieHard 71210, 310, 320, etc.) to the vehicle, at the battery itself,
observing all necessary safety precautions such as the wearing of safety goggles;
I had battery hooked up to the car like normal with the charger's alligator clip thingys clamped onto the car's terminals/battery posts

You realize having the battery plugged into a battery charger??? Electricity is just like water, the path with the least amount of resistance gets the charge... I won't comment on this anymore. Your car isn't sharked if you don't have a 7k rev limit. No matter what the butt dyno/placebo effect says. Your not sharked unless you have a 7k red line.
VF has a lot of overheating problems on track with their kits. I'm gonna stay NA for now, now that I'm actually making some decent NA power. When I do make the jump to FI it will be with ESS. Their kits have been track tested and beat on.
Bad thing about going FI on a track car is that you need the suspension to keep you planted and the brakes to stop you. I guess it's not really a bad thing, just more money.
If I was rich as hell I would have a stroked S54 track/race car and a HPF street car. Would make that blown Z06 from FF look silly.
