You said yours was 220 with cams? I guess it just depends on the engine and how lucky you get.

200 x 1.15 is only 230 hp crank... I was hoping for more than 5 hp net from headers and a tune, although these cars aren't exactly factory fresh. I'm pretty well up on maintenance, might have my vanos rebuilt next time it goes in though.

In the future Ill have pullies, and hope for a lightweight flywheel. Flywheel/clutch/pressure plate would be the most expensive performance upgrade to my car to date, other than suspension... but I dont even have that ordered yet.

Thanks for the honest response. Im still going to hope to get lucky and pull 220whp
I'm just telling you what I think. You will gain more than 5 to the wheels but you lost a few since the car was new. So the gains are really hard to measure. IMO the best way is to hit the hwy and do some pulls. I know what my car weighs and what it makes. If we ran on the hwy, I'd have a really good idea of what your car is making if i knew it's weight.

because of your pullies, cams, flywheel, wheels, weight, and gearing... your car is way faster than mine lol

I still think we should have a weighstation / dyno day... and a dragstip day too.

Dragstips dont do 0-60's... but I can :p (kiwi wifi + rev)

You should get racing seats... you would loose like 100 lbs or maybe more

I'm on the fence on the seats. I still DD this thing and go on long trips. I like my cushy seats More weight is coming out though I wouldn't mind knowing my 0 to 60 honestly that would be fun. Also could work launching skills.

Where do you launch from? How much throttle till they hook up? I think I would do either 2500 or 3000... depending.

My tires are 255 rear so Ive got a bit more traction than the stretched 215 guys.

But yeah, just plug in the thing to your OBDII and then it reads the wheel speed... when you start moving from 0 It will start counting.

Depends on the road conditions really. If it's hot and a clean road I'll dump it from around 3200. Dumping it is the wrong word. I kinda let it out slow if i feel wheels slipping, I slip the clutch really lightly. I try to never let the revs go under 3k. You will know when you get a good launch... the glove box will rip itself open Forgot to mention when the glove box comes open your fuse box can fall down and break. Be sure to tape it up if your going to be launching your car. My fuse box broke and it's taped up... another thing i forgot.. If your launching like this and something breaks everyone that looks at the car will know how it happened. just food for thought

waaaat

I bet you could beat an M3 in a launch... its got no torque or power advantage untill about 4k... and you dont really have to worry about those half shafts.

I found this to be misleading when doin my car. Yes you will loose 100+ lbs depending what seats you have but you shouldn't have seats without harnesses and you shouldnt have harnesses without a roll bar. So you actually add some weight back in. It's not as great as everyone makes it sound.

I will organize a dyno day, I'm just waiting till all my stuff is on. Probably sometime in may.

Brad I hate to break it to you but you don't get large areas of tattoos done all at once. You couldn't handle it (not pain wise, just sitting still for so long and crap), and it's unfair to the tattoo artist to make him work that long also. My sleeve took a total of 7 hours. No one in their right mind sits through that. And don't say painkillers either cause that thins your blood and causes excessive bleeding. Anyway, if you guys want to see a shitty picture of the work I had done today go to my facebook.
